With my first visit to Dr. Petreman , I was very impressed as he identified a problem with my eyes caused by the fit of my contact lens. At the time I was also seeing an eye specialist and this was not caught. Will give Origin Optometry five stars with no hesitation. Dr. Petreman is very professional and knowledgeable and most imperative is my trust in him. Staff always friendly and efficient.

She not only gave me the most thorough eye exam I've ever had, she also took the time to explain her findings in a warm and comfortable way. The clinic is well set up, the staff are knowledgable and helpful, and the selection of possible frames is wide. I highly recommend Dr. Henderson and Origin Optometry!

W	Wojciech Ziemkiewicz on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I really appreciate the attention to detail which starts with the aesthetic of the storefront, with sliding mirrors revealing other frames; that along with the additional selection of frames in drawers all along the displayed frames made the experience of really seeing the features of each frame much more pleasant. The flow of my appointment with Dr. Petreman was also great and felt very thorough, in fact Origin Optometry was suggested to me by a colleague who was impressed with her eye exam, stating that it was the most thorough she had ever had. The technology as well as the the Dr. working with an assistant to collect data so that he can focus his attention on the client, was particularly impressive, and suggests to me that the business is 100% client focused, on providing an easy experience through something that isn’t always the most comfortable. I was truly impressed with the customer focus of the entire staff, and walked without with feeling pressured to buy frames there (perhaps other comments on here have helped with a softer approach); in fact I found it to be the perfect balance of being helped without feeling pressured. That being said, I will likely return to Origin for frames, as I really enjoyed the selection from funky to trendy to a nice fit. Well done, one of my more pleasant and memorable experiences with optometry, I haven’t checked my eyes in years cus I dread it so much.

He is constantly upgrading his knowledge, equipment, and practice, all while keeping his workflow extremely efficient. On my last visit, we did a full eye exam, replaced my glasses, and customized the lenses for an extremely good price. Every time I go, I feel like I am learning something new about the exam process, vision health, or eyewear; I always have an active role in my vision needs.

My wife and I never used optometrists growing up, but now being in our mid 30's we realized we needed to find one. She was knowledgeable, very personable, and easy to get along with and down to earth. We were even more impressed with how she conducted our young children's eye exams, as neither of them really cared for the idea. It made it an enjoyable 1st experience for them, and there is no fear of going back for their annual exams now. To anyone looking for an optometrist in Nanaimo, I suggest Dr. Henderson, you won't be disappointed!
