Optimum Wellness Centres - Bow Bottom

My experience with Dr. Omarzay was phenomenal. He is extremely professional and pays great attention to detail. He explained what was happening with my back pain in a way that I could easily understand and really made me feel comfortable. I'm feeling much better already after being treated by him and I am definitely going back to see him from now on.

I've had a great experience with this location. Both massage and chiropractic services have been excellent and staff are very knowledgeable. Their online scheduling tool makes it super simple and convenient to setup appointments.

This clinic is very organized and clean. The staff is super friendly. Nikki Engen is a Massage Therapist at this clinic and I highly recommend her. She is likely the best Massage Therapist I've ever been to (which prompted this review). Since I've been having regular massages, my headaches have decreased. I put my back out AGAIN and finally decided it was time find a great chiropractor AGAIN. So of course I turned to google reviews and read those of the place closest to me which, conveniently, are quite favourable. Unfortunately the reviews are dated and so fail to mention that the 2 doctors people really liked are no longer there. Here's the good news: The new chiropractor, Dr. Julian Mendes, is fantastic! And if you search his name, you will find many of great reviews of his service at other locations. Anyway, I was in enormous pain and barely functioning. I was able to get an appointment for the next day and filled out the forms online. We had a nice chat, he measured my mobility, and gave me an effective treatment. I'm not afraid of cracking and in fact I kinda like it but for those of you who are scared do not fear. He has a machine, initially developed by NASA to detect structural weakness in the walls of the space craft without having to take the panels off, which has been adapted for bio mechanics. Basically, it can detect which vertebrae need adjusting, and then adjusts them without any manual manipulation. In other words, no cracking yet it's very effective. Then the other gadget works on relieving the muscles which, while not exactly painful, is super intense. In just one session my mobility greatly improved, and my pain is much reduced. He demonstrated a stretch I should do to help with the healing. The plan is to go again 3 times next week and then twice a week for another couple weeks. This is for the acute pain. Since he is also an expert in scoliosis, my goal is to keep seeing him to address the chronic pain that I suffered even before this happened. The receptionist is delightful, the place is clean, the price ($100 first visit, $55 subsequent) is manageable and the doctor is great. So if you have back pain (or any kind of pain actually - it can all be related) I recommend that you go see Dr. Mendes.

Ok, wow. I recently moved, so I needed to find a new massage therapist. Nikki is fantastic and always makes sure to tailor what she does to my specific needs that day. Often I am in for a massage for a certain soreness or tweak, but I also love to come just for relaxation and stress relief. Thanks Nikki and the whole team at Optimum Wellness Bow Bottom for making the whole experience simple and enjoyable. From online booking, to reminders, to direct billing, it is always automatic and easy.

Dr. Mendez is professional, friendly and extremely knowledgeable. My scoliosis rehabilitation has been wonderful and the improvement to my life has been fantastic.

After searching for an alternative chiropractic treatment, I found Dr. Stephen Summey at Optimum Wellness in Bowness. COVID struck, but I still made appointments until August of 2021, when an illness put me out of commission for a while. I was surprised when I called the Bowness location to find Dr. Steve had moved to the Bow Bottom site. Since his method, using Computer Aided Chiropractic Assessment/Adjustment, was my preferred treatment, I called the Optimum Bow Bottom and have restarted my treatment with Dr. Steve. I cannot recommend his services highly enough, especially for those who prefer not to have manual adjustments. He is personable, caring and knows his stuff....and much more. I have been helped by Dr. Mendes to treat my scoliosis. So far, my condition has improved to the point where I am no long experiencing any major pain. My posture has also improved significantly.
