Operating Engineers of Manitoba, Local 987 (OE987) represents members who are employed in health care, heavy equipment and skilled trades throughout Manitoba. Currently, we have 70 collective agreements that we have negotiated in the best interests of each of our members.

Our business representatives are university educated, specializing in labour relations. As a result, we have a strong track record at the bargaining table and have negotiated some of the best contracts in the province. We are proud to offer exemplary service to all our members, with 1 representative for every 500 members! When our members need assistance, our representatives can be reached by phone or email. They are dedicated full-time to looking after our members concerns and are experienced in dealing with health and safety issues, good wages, and fairness in the workplace.

OE987 has always strived for diversity within all sectors we represent. We are proud that 50 percent of our current membership is comprised of Métis and Indigenous peoples. We want to reflect who we represent in the workplace, as can be seen by the ethnic diversity of our executive and our shop stewards.
