★ ★ ★ ★ ★ OMG So good. The food is homemade and you can tell. The owner doesn't hide in the kitchen, but walks around greeting customers and helping where ever he can. He must be a good boss because the staff are happy and friendly. Every second Friday, they have an all you can eat buffet for a reasonable price. The only problem is, because the food is so good, you will overeat. I highly recommend a visit

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stopped in for a homemade meal. This restaurant has been making great food for decades and doesn't disappoint me. We had the Spikes special and all 3 of our meals were done to perfection. The staff, one lady, did it all up front and was cheerful and proffessional. Heard her at another table delivering the orders and remembered the regulars orders from heart,even the extras some people need. Always a good experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Spike is a great place to eat!! Never been disappointed with anything I have ordered. The tuna melt, chili burger, BLT sandwich all awesome. The pancakes are delicious and filling. Staff always friendly and cook Amanda has terrific ideas for daily specials. Check it out.?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We regularly come in for The Railroad Breakfast which has 3 eggs, toast, 4 different meats and hash browns. It's so big it comes on 2 plates for only $11.95. The only thing better than the food is the service; it's fantastic no matter how busy it is.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great breakfast place in the heart of Transcona. Service was fast and friendly. We ordered the Ukrainian breakfast with coffee and the Railway Gigantic breakfast with orange juice. Portions were huge. Everything was delicious. Great value for money. I really enjoyed the bacon and kubasa. It was our first time here and we’ve experienced excellent service and got our stomachs full with delicious and hearty meals. Will definitely come back!
