I tried this place today and it’s super chilled. The whole concept is about choosing your tea blend from their huge collections (dunno jow many but def it was more than 50 I think, you can read components and smell from the display before ordering. They also have a fair selection of vegan pastries. I tried the banana loaf; it was good but I would prefer if Banana taste was stronger. We sat on the patio and it was very cozy. I only wish the heater wasn’t out of propane. Lastly, staff are very friendly. I truly recommend this place for tea lovers

Best place for tea. Lovely rustic setting with a wide range of healthy organic teas. Great service too. Limited space for indoor sitting. Outdoor sitting available too. Definitely worth a visit!

Expensive And really don't know why. We're not tea connoisseurs but I'll have to say it wasn't that good. However we were on a walk and appreciated the ambience and service bringing our teas right to our table.

What a wonderful tea shop. Patient and brilliant staff, delicious creations for eating and sipping, and lots of tea and kitchen related items for sale. Also worth mentioning is the art on display and for sale. Will definitely be returning to this Kensington gem.

Last evening, my friend and I arrived at 6:00 PM, chose our teas, and paid with the maximum suggested gratuity. When the the woman making our teas served them in to-go containers having not asked whether we’d be staying or leaving, we asked for presses and cups. She stated β€œwe close in a hour.” When advised that we planned to depart sooner than closing hour and reiterated that we would like teaware, the server refused, citing β€œthat will mean I have so many dishes to do.” To be clear: she did not want to do what she is paid to do (I assume having to do dishes is part of her job description), nor did she want to provide the basic level of customer service after being tipped by us. At 6:50, the same server came around to the tables, advising everyone that the shop was closing (not in a customer service-oriented last-call way; the connotation was undeniably β€œget out”). I would have pointed out that closing at 7:00 PM (Covid hours) - and being rushed up to an hour prior - is ridiculous, given that restrictions are lifted, and demand is existent (as indicated by the shop being packed), but seeing that I will never return, the point is moot. I will support literally any other local business.

This place used to be awesome, I was actually the second ever customer at oolong tea house. The company sold to new owners and the vibe has been way off ever since. Used to be a warm cozy vibe, now it’s crowded and cold and everything is jammed together, but worst of all, the staff I’ve been unfortunate enough to meet are literally the worst kind of people. This new skittles generation are the worst at customer service and basic human decency.

A great selection of teas and also important how a business resolves issues when a customer's not quite satisfied. Not too long ago I voiced a concern; Oolong listened, understood and compensated me for my troubles. Oolong Tea House is a Kensington treasure. Thanks to Karla & the gang!

Wonderful, clean and organized spot for house brewed tea - currently take out only. They have a wide assortment of tea that is differentiated by coloured labels. Each label alongside the wall also provides descriptions as to what is in the tea. The staff here is friendly and very knowledgeable as well (providing great suggestions). Pricing is based on the coding they have laid out (more premium teas will cost more - starts at $3.50 and can go to $10). You can order a tea to go to mini cans of tea to brew at home. Beverages can be hot or iced. There are also coffee options and specialty drinks. They also serve some baked goods and paninis is also on the menu board. They have spots that feature local art and gifts that you can also purchase as well. A worthwhile place to visit and support!
