Olympia Trust Company received it's letters patent on September 6, 1995, authorizing the formation of a trust company to be registered under the Loan and Trust Corporations Act (Alberta). Operations commenced in March of 1996. Olympia Trust is licensed to conduct trust activities in Alberta, British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Quebec, Newfoundland and Labrador, Prince Edward Island, New Brunswick, and Nova Scotia. Olympia Trust acts as a trustee and manages self-administered registered plans. It also provides foreign currency exchange services and other trustee services.

i	ilan Handelsman on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have been using Olympia Trust for my RSP, TFSA and RESP accounts since 2012. Their customer service is one of the best that I have experienced in the financial services world in Canada. Their online portal which gives me access to my holdings and transactions is super fast, reliable and gives me granular information as I need it. I also use their mobile app with great ease. This is not to say that I have never had a problem that their frontline service team couldn't manage. When that has happened I've escalated my inquiry and it has been with respect and total reasonableness and fairness. I wish that my bank and other financial service providers were this on the ball! Keep it up Olympia Trust.

Faria, who works in the Calgary office was amazing, as she personally took on the review of our file, and expedited it (after some unrelated delays), in order to allow me to deliver a great client experience. I've been dealing with Carla Rogerson and when it got to the point where they were to transfer the funds, she stopped communicating with me and will not return any calls. I've left messages for her Nov 2nd, 2021, Nov 8th, 2021, Nov 9th, 2021, Mar 21, 2022, Emailed Mar 29th, 2022, Apr 4th, 2022 just to name a few. - not a single return call or a single response to any of my last three emails. I don't know what to make of it. My last correspondence with her was her telling me she was going to initiate the transfer of the funds. Then suddenly no more communication. I don't know much about this company but it really seems a bit shady that they stopped all comunication at the point where they were to transfer the funds.

They just emailed to say they are giving themselves a hefty % increase in fee costs without our approval that we cannot opt out of. It is such a disgusting organization - I can’t wait to be free of these scammers. I’ve actually just withdrawn my financial support for the local zoo lights - and informed them of this - as it’s now being funded by Olympia and just seeing this name makes me sick to my stomach.

Their solution is for me to create a NEW email address just for Olympia Trust or I have no access to my account online. They also stop replying to emails frequently (currently been 6 days, I am about to send a follow up). Some of the staff is great but my over all experience is negative thus reflected by the rating." My issue was been fixed now. Over all the company does what you expect them to. I would rate them a 3/5 stars, however I still have a sour taste in my mouth because it took many emails and calls over the years to try to get this resolved .

On January 15/22, $1062.86 was withdrawn from my account, from which I got an Income Fund Payment of $684.86, but I was charged of $378.00 for the following: Administration Fees, Manual Cheque Processing Fee & Mailing Fee, plus GST on everything. That's over 35% of the withdrawal in extra charges....! Bernie was more honest.
R	Ranger Fontana on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ STAY CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY. Note their positive reviews are by those affiliated with the company or those with 4-5 stars offer NO comments = VOID/discredited. Olympia Trust Company leaves charges against properties at Land Titles long after the loans to them have been paid out. Unconscionable business practice. They're hoping those charges go unnoticed so if the person passes away, they can make claim on that loan to the Estate. I've been dealing with mortgages, loans, private, conventional, CMHC etc. for over 35 years and this is the worst business I have ever dealt with. Stay clear!

This is one of companies to provide some atypical accounts and investment options, but they do so by charging exorbitant fees. You will definitely feel the pinch of several hundreds or thousands of dollars per year in fees, so unless you are placing several hundreds of thousands of dollars in here, you will definitely notice that the returns on your investments are heavily reduced by the fact that you are paying fees annually, monthly, for withdrawals, and for any kind of service. There must be better options out there, avoid this pirate organization.
