I have allergies and so I need to avoid them, but the Bolognese is unlike anything I have had elsewhere. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. The pasta bowls are inexpensive, and the service is great. UPDATE: The chef said that he tweaked his sauce and it no longer includes peppers of any sort. I didn't believe it at first, but it is a masterpiece. He has a great palette.

This is a pick-up and go place with no seating, but the food court seating is right there. You have your choice of hot foods mix and match like a salad bar, a salad bar, sandwiches, snacks, drinks and desserts. The biggest problem is it's popularity with the office crowd, so go earlier or later than the noon-1 pm crowd.

They didn’t ask if I wanted sauce, just wrapped it up and gave it to me. My friend went to the sandwich line, and waited 15 minutes. It was not busy. The guy asked her three separate times what she wanted, forgetting every time he walked away. When he was dressing her sandwich, she’d ask for a vegetable, and he’d put the wrong one in. Asked for spinach, got alfalfa. Asked for cucumber, got pickles, etc. She was so frustrated, she had to keep reassuring him it was fine, she just wanted to leave. Don’t bother with the sandwich lines, stick to the buffet. Took way too long for such poor quality and high cost.

Most items here are pretty good quality and since they turn over many times during the lunch hour, the food isn't dry or stale. There are separate counters for Donair/shawarma, sandwich counter, soup, pasta, and a breakfast sandwich selection in the mornings. Come back after 4pm (3 on Fridays) for 2-for-1 soup and sandwich selections.

The cold food is quite varied and very good quality for the price. While the hot food can take a bit sometimes, it's delicious and well worth it's low cost. Compared to other places like it, the prices for the value just can't be beat, a staple for work lunches!
A	Andrea Goodwin on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The place (Bow Valley Square, 205 5 Avenue SW, Calgary) was extremely crowded at noon on a weekday in Calgary, serving the downtown lunch crowd, but that is as it is supposed to be! The selection - astronomical in scope, is well laid out, and allows for easy perusal by the customers who are scanning everything on display. There is sushi, soups, salads, hot dinners, (just to name a few items) and plenty of varied desserts. One can make a custom sandwich or buy already prepared ones, and there is something for everyone's taste. The drinks are just as varied, so the choice is overwhelming!! Seating is available throughout the area in the food court, so tables are available (we found one even at the height of the lunch rush). Checkout is fast and the cashiers are friendly and efficient. The sushi was divine! Olly's also caters!
F	Farron Maclean on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's very frustrating that you say you close at 3. The hot buffet at 2. But then I just went down there at 1:45 and everything is put away. If the hot buffet is open until 2 to they shouldn't be putting it away til 2.

Sometimes the food is inconsistent, the toast comes out undercooked, or the bacon overdone, but for the price, and the speed, it really can't be beat. It's open early during COVID as well which is a huge plus.
