★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went on the four hour tour with Gary. Had an amazing time. He was very knowledgable and made me feel very passionate about many a thing... including the wildlife. Saw transients, a river otter, and a seal. The woman in the store was incredibly helpful and was super sweet. They had jumpsuits up to 4x. You get right on the water and learn so much stuff. I highly recommend.

Saw several pods and also got to see nesting Golden Eagle when returning.
Several hrs of fantastic orcas.

I cannot recall the name of the staff member who took us out on the boat, but we went on the 27th of April and he was very passionate and excited for us, and found us some whales. And it all went so well and I had so much fun!!!

We ended up going a little overtime due to the high level of activity in the water, which we were all super excited about.
We saw a total of 8 individual humpback whales in the strait of Georgia in a little over 4 hours.
Our guide, Taz, was not only incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, but also showed a great level of respect for the wildlife. Her passion and love for the ocean and its inhabitants really made our experience absolutely perfect. She expertly navigated the vessel to be close enough to view these magnificent creatures, while also respecting their space and allowing the whales to come closer to the boat on their own accord, which several of them did.
We witnessed tail slapping, pectoral fin slapping/ waving and even a mother with her calf.
If you're looking for the ultimate whale watching experience with staff that truly love and respect the animals, ocean eco adventures should be your first stop.

Taz was a great captain and very entertaining / informative. The boat made for a smooth but fast ride which allowed us to cover tons of ocean! We saw lots of orcas, and beautiful scenery as well. Highly recommend the later in the day tour to catch the sun setting from boat.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Whale watching has always been on my bucket list but I was kind of disappointed because this company doesn't take you close enough to the whales. You see them from 200 metres away because of the new regulations which is fine but they did NOT disclose that anywhere on their website/social media pages/waiver form. Their website and social media gives off the impression that you'll get close to them because they include pictures and videos of the whales upclose. The people who work there independently go out and take those. Not with other customers on board. Other than that, our tour operator Taz was nice and knowledgeable on all the whales we saw. Just keep in mind if you're spending the money for the tour, you'll be 200 metres away. In the off chance, a whale might get close to the boat if the whales decides too but it's rare because the tour operator willingly steers farther away when they see a whale to ensure they stay 200 meters away. I'm including non zoomed in photos I took of the whales from afar so that is what you'll see with your naked eye. There was another whale tour company near us and they went more closer - still keeping a safe distance. Do your research before you spend alot of money.
