★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went out on a half day whale-watching and wildlife tour yesterday. I have been out several times with this company at their other location and the same standards apply. I prefer this location and the ease of accessing the boat. The captains are all experienced naturalists. Flotation suits are provided. Within 5 minutes of leaving the marina, we saw our first whale. We saw harbour seals with newborn pups, and several humpback whales. I enjoyed being out on the water on a perfect day. I plan on making this a regular excursion as we have been seeing such an explosion of wildlife sightings off the coast.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a fantastic trip out of French Creek at the end of July for a half day Whale watching tour. We saw Seals, Eagles, Humpbacks, and had a long visit with a family of Biggs Orcas. Our Captain was very knowledgeable and the boat ride was a lot of fun. I definitely recommend this tour!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were thrilled with our whale watching adventure! We saw a group of orcas giving an amazing performance of leaping and splashing. They entertained us for quite a while. Our zodiac captain ensured we observed from the required distance as to not disturb these amazing whales. Definitely recommend using Ocean EcoVentures in Parksville, you will not be disappointed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ocean Ecoventures came recommended to us and it was the best whale watching tour we've ever been on! We did a 4 hour whale watching tour out of parksville. It was amazing! We saw several pods of biggs killer whales who were very active and social. Lots of whales spyhopping and breaching. Simon was our captain on the tour. He is incredibly knowledgeable about the whales and seems to know all the whales in the region and shared a lot information. A portion of the proceeds also go towards conservation efforts. Highly recommend this tour!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We enjoyed a spectacular afternoon with Captain Simon and 4 others and were treated to the most amazing encounter with a juvenile humpback before we were more than 20 minutes from the dock. Captain Simon was very knowledgeable and shared just the right amount of info. I would highly recommend this tour!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Since my trip at the end of August, I have been telling everyone I see - you have to do this! SO.MANY.WHALES. We were the only whale watching boat around and strangely there were very few other boats. The pure magic of humpback whale encounters combined with all our questions being answered by the very knowledgeable Captain Simon, made this trip completely worthwhile. The whales we saw were respected and not crowded. Although a few chose to come to us! :o So nice to have this opportunity on the mid-Island! The photos below were taken by Captain Simon and shared with the group that was with him that day. All in all the EcoVenture was truly an adventure and I will go again!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Captain Simon was very knowledgeable and friendly! We got to see 2 groups of humpbacks, seals, bald eagles, turkey vultures. It was an amazing opportunity to learn so much about the animals! We would definitely recommend going on this adventure. My 2 boys, husband and myself had an great time! Thanks so much Simon!
