Do not recommend

Came all the way out from Garden hill for my appointment. It was hard to see driving due to all the rain. Ended up being only 4 minutes late and the woman at the front desk told me the doctor had left and acted quite unprofessional about it ! What a joke !

I have used this service for about 2 years now and am very satisfied with the quality of the programs offered. I have attended 3 groups and found all to be very helpful.

Just tried to use this service, provided by the hospital! When I walked in I was turned around by the receptionist and told only tuesdays and thursdays are walk in days and was handed a panphlet for some help talk line. Sorry that the only time I work up the nerve to walk in there and ask for help its not within bussiness hours.

After a great deal of stress I broke down at triage one night and asked to speak to a counsellor. I was told that my number would be passed on to this place. Days later I got a call from "Brad", who spoke with me briefly and said he would be back in touch on Monday or Tuesday of the following week. This was weeks ago. I called community mental health to let them know about this and was swiftly transferred from one monotone employee to the voice mail of another, who has not bothered to call me back. These people need your help, not your apathy. Horrible organization and client communication. I would give them 0/5 if that was even possible. Do not recommend. I would rather talk to squirrels in the park than these people ever again.

I wasted my time with Dr. DEMARIS and now have to travel out of town for services after my treatment here. Dont get me wrong, their peer support specialists are great, I really enjoyed the zoom groups. They fired their social worker though, who was the only one focusing on my rehabilitation in all aspects. But my real issue was with their two front desk secretaries and Dr DEMARIS. During an assessment with her, we discussed my medication regiment and how well it was working. Went to refill my medication the next day and she hadn't ordered my seroquil (I take 400mg/day and am severely unstable without). I attempted to call for help, she wouldn't respond. I went into the office IN CRISIS at that point because it had now been 2 days without a medication I was PHYSICALLY DEPENDENT on at that point. The girl went back to speak with the doctor (who REFUSED to speak to me), came back and snarkily told me she would not be assisting me... sending me further into crisis. They just sent me away after 5 minutes of rolling their eyes at my pleas for help. That night I took a bottle of gabapentin attempting to get myself to sleep, I was so far into crisis at this point I didn't care what happened. I called them again to attempt to get their help with the prescription and again they were completely ignorant so I told them what I did THE NIGHT BEFORE and they sent the police to my house. Several squad cars and an ambulance showed up to my house and after I explained the situation THE PARAMEĎIC AND THE POLICE AGREED WITH ME THAT YOU DON'T DO THAT TO A MENTALLY ILL PERSON ESPECIALLY WITH THE MEDICATION THAT ENABLES THEM TO BE STABLE! They said they were completely wrong. Don't wait months and months for a referral to see Dr. Demaris. Shes very unsympathetic to the mentally ill, it's one thing not to be emotionally invested, it's another to have zero investment at all. Not to mention, when I requested an ADHD assessment she literally told me, as psychiatrist, SHE DOES NOT KNOW HOW TO DO THAT. Umm... excuse me, is that not your job, ma'am? So here i sit, ON ANOTHER WAITLIST, trying to get help for something I was initially referred to in 2019 for ?? Take my advice, skip this step and get your doctor to refer you outside of Northumberland!!!!! I cant give you negative stars so here is your 1.
