★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Norm was able to come to our house very quickly on a -32o January,Saturday night.
He diagnosed the problem and quickly replaced the part. Best part, he cared enough to check on us .He phoned us in the morning to check that the furnace was giving us heat. We will call him again and give his name/company to referrals. Thanks Norm.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had quite an alarming recent experience with this company and I must caution others to be wary.
They came out because our furnace was working intermittently in very cold weather. The technician advised, with minimal troubleshooting or investigation, that we fully replace our furnace for around $5,000. I had a different company come out for a second opinion and they quickly found there was a minor issue (plugged condenser trap) and drained it. The furnace has been working great since.
What's most alarming though was the manager's lack of response to my feedback on what happened. I understand everyone makes mistakes and misses things sometimes, but I would still expect an apology or at least explanation.

When it came to the actual installation - the team was both friendly and efficient. Zac and Mo were professional and also accommodating to our masking request.
I would recommend Noris Appliance!

Zak was professional and knowledgeable - taking the time to walk me through the features of my new thermostat. Looking forward to a cozy house once more!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ On New Year’s Day I woke up to a furnace that wasn’t working properly. It was -32C outside with an extreme cold warning. Temp in my house was dropping fast so I called a couple companies, Noris and another, to take a look at the furnace. I elected to go with the other company as they could be at my place an hour faster. HUGE error on my part - I called Noris back and informed them (Norm) that I was going with the other company. Norm left the door open and encouraged me to call back if I needed anything.
So the other company came by. They got furnace going, charged me and off they went to the next job. The furnace quit shortly after they left. I called the company back and was getting the run around. Instead of dealing with the frustration, I reached out again to Norris and spoke with Norm. I explained the situation and Norm was understating and very helpful (this was after 5 pm). He coordinated a technician (Zach) to be at my place shortly thereafter. Zach was prompt, courteous and followed Covid best practice. He took the time to answer my questions and walked me through the repair work he did.
I can’t say enough about Noris and the professionalism displayed by their staff, especially considering the holiday and the after hours service. I genuinely appreciate Noris coming through for me on such short notice.
I will be hiring this company in the future.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had another company come to check my furnace when it wouldn't light. While they diagnosed the problem correctly, they really pushed replacing my 2008 furnace and said that they couldn't repair the furnace at that time. I called Noris and they had the part (gas valve) and were earlier than expected that day to install. Zach was quick and professional. While the part wasn't cheap, Noris was cheaper than or on par with the other quotes I got. Nice to have a business focus on repairing rather than replacing. Will call Noris first next time.
