★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I am very disappointed with service provided by Nobel Biocare Health Centre.
I went for an implant and the Undergraduate Periodontic student who was treating me was totally incompetent. She was very rough, rude and extremely unprofessional.
I took my CT scan for the lower jaw at Pacific Oral Health Centre which is affiliated with UBC. When I gave the CT scan disc, she told me she was unable to open the file, which is very strange because the Pacific Oral Centre was able to open it and I have a an old laptop and was also able to open this file but UBC computers are unable to open this file.
UBC enrolled International student in their postgraduate programmes, some of them are from countries with very poor training standard, unfortunately UBC enrolled these students purely for financial reasons. International students pay 6 times more for than the domestic students.
My experience has been a nightmare, and I do not recommend any patients going through Nobel Biocare Health Centre (UBC).

Its better to wait for a while rather to spend bunch of money to commercials doctors.The receptionist are excellent i was just wondered by seeing their patience level for handling the new patients. Superb!! My doctor was also outstanding. You people saved me. God bless you. Thank you.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I extracted one of my wisdom teeth here. Dr. Preis is super nice and skilled. I didn't feel any pain during the extraction. The price is totally affordable for UBC students. Great place!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We went with the UBC dental program as a cheaper option to our community dentist, knowing it just meant extra driving but trusting we would get similar care. Imagine our surprise when we got the notice after 1-1/2 years saying we would now have to go to a community dentist. What we were not told at the beginning was that "phase one" may not accomplish anything, would cost us $1300 regardless, and we may still have to go to our community dentist and pay their original price. On a good note, treatment seems to be going well for another of our children in the graduate program.
Buyer beware.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Overall pretty good considering one deals with dental students, appointments are very long and cumbersome so be prepared for that. For everything a student does they need to call in an instructor and there is always a line-up for each instructor. Prices are reasonable as compared to commercial dentists. I like the fact to help out students as they need to learn. Have to come in long distance so are getting a bit tired of the long commute.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The UBC Dental Centre has a new pricing policy. They now charge for literally everything, even if a Dental student tells someone how to brush their teeth it will cost you. For myself they billed me for removing caries but to get it filled it will be another visit and another fee. For all the time one spends in a visit and then to be paying for "breathing the air", I think UBC forgets that a dental student needs patients, not the other way around.
