New Trendz Flooring

After a few months of getting my floors done by New Trendz Flooring I noticed that there have been gaps in between the flooring (to the extent where I had to vacuum any crumbs that fell in between). After this, I had contacted Allan about this issue where I was told that he would come look at the issue within a few days - however lock down had hit (March 2020) and he was unable to come. In June, a bottle of wine had broken and spilt on the floor and I noticed that all of the liquid was immediately absorbed into the the gaps in between the flooring. I contacted Allan again and he came to take a look - promising that he would have the worker who installed the flooring to come and do repairs and fix his mistakes. It has been almost a year since then and I have not heard from Allan. He did not send out a worker to do repairs or resolve this issue I had with my flooring at all. After spending $10,000 - I would not recommend anyone to allow New Trendz to do their flooring.

We were looking for bathroom & kitchen tile and looking to do something with our cabinets..As most people know when looking to do Reno’s, it can be a very stressful time, Alan & Debbie made our experience less stressful and a lot of fun! My husband and I have been to many of the flooring stores in Langley and late Saturday we decided to visit Newtrendzflooring. What a lovely surprise to be greeted on our entry to the store by Debbie. She was so helpful in many aspects and answered all our questions with clarity. Debbie even made us a fresh coffee so we could browse the wonderful selection of flooring on offer. Her husband Alan then came over to measure after hours, he was very thorough and explained what to expect during the installation process. My partner and I were searching for flooring and thankfully found New Trendz Flooring in Langley. Alan & Debbie are absolutely wonderful owners and extremely knowledgeable. They directed us to the perfect style and flooring that compliments our home beautifully. We couldn't be happier with the quick delivery of the product (considering this was during a pandemic as well). I highly recommend New Trendz Flooring. We will definitely use them again in the near future for our tile, flooring, and other renovation projects.

Alan and his wife were very pleasant to work with. Alan was very informative and gave us great ideas for what we could do with our shower renos. We ordered a shower glass through him which ended up not being the type of trim we were wanting. He had no problems with taking it back. When I talked to him about other contractors I was working with he was able to tell me if their pricing was fair and if their timelines sounded correct. They also have a great show room and can get almost anything ordered in for a very competitive price. Overall we are very happy with new trendz floorings service.

We finished off our kitchen with back splash from New Trendz Flooring. Debbie & Allan were wonderful to work with. They helped us with selection, personal home consultation and installation. We highly recommend New Trendz Flooring.

WARNING buyer beware. They are lovely couple, do not be fool. Get everything in writing !! Take pictures. We were told it would take 4-5 days… took over a month. He says he’ll call right back but never does. We waited just over a week to prove a point of it. They no showed. Sheet vinyl in kitchen turned out nice. The levelling cement was all over the walls and metal heater needs to be sanded and painted. The vinyl plank in the living room is nice now, but there were issues with several planks along one wall sliding. We ordered carpet for stairs. We were told carpet was ordered and once it arrives construction would start. They assured us it was there. We let them take old the carpet. We were left with nails exposed on stairs for 2 days. Thank god we had no kids. They “lost” carpet. Brought wrong carpet. Then on the 2nd day they “find”. Didn’t look quite. We caught them in at least 3 lies. Tired of the lies, we called the manufacturer of the carpet. They said the serial number on the back wasn’t a product of theirs. But Allen said he ordered and had it shipped?! We confronted him asking for receipt for this “found” carpet. He didn’t have one. Turns out Allan said that carpet was discontinued. So when he got caught he looked for a fast replacement in his stock warehouse . If its not available CALL THE CUSTOMER FOR REPLACEMENT OPTIONS!! Business 101. The carpet was dark blue. Had I known, I would never of let them rip up my old carpet. Then he has the audacity to charge me for the labour to replace carpet he should never of taken. Now we have to pay someone else to come remove it. Transition pieces kept popping off. While trying to fix one transition they broke the wood trim. Just shoved it back with a glob of what looks like silicone. Stay on them while they work. Make them then fix it right there and then to your standards. Buyer beware.

New flooring was a big decision for us. We shopped around and looked at different products and had 3 install quotes before deciding on New Trendz. The other shops we had looked at never asked questions of our needs nor took the time to explain the products completely and help us find the flooring that was best suited for us. The other install quotes we had were very ball park. So there had to be room for added expense. The installer from New Trendz took time to measure everything to do with install. Explained everything in detail. He checked all areas for level. He was the only one who would remove and reuse our existing baseboards as they were near new. They arrived on time and completed the work as planned. The inside and outside work area of our home was clean after each days work. The whole project, from sales with Bill and Lisa to the install was priced right, on time and exactly as quoted.
