★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What an awesome service for the Village to provide! Great location away from wildlife and the forest, awesome opportunities for multi-terrain activities and fairly adequate natural barriers. Could really use a fence on the highway side.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What a gem! Many (as in most) municipalities could take a page from the New Denver dog park planning book. What’s missing is signage - on the highway, and in the parking area. A map would be good too. But once you find it it’s a great “leg stretch” for dog and owner alike. Love the water access.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A wonderful space to be able to walk my dogs right in the Village and conveniently located next to the campground, beach, and Carpenter Creek. It is large enough to provide exercise and a relaxing experience for me and my dog. There is a great grassy space where you can play catch and a scenic walk along the creek that both dogs and humans can enjoy!
I've been to some dog parks that are sterile, and so small that everyone is congested at the entrance with an increased risk of negative dog encounters. The off-leash area in New Denver is large enough to provide space for the dogs to move around.
It is an amazing asset for a Village of this size and is well-loved and enjoyed by the dogs and their humans who live here and by those who come to visit.
If I could request one improvement, it would be for a fence to prevent access to the highway and to the few homes that are alongside the off-leash area.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Such a beautiful and safe space to be able to do nice big ball throw sessions with my best gal pals (shepherd border collies). It's also a great place to help socialize and train my dogs with other dogs. Otherwise we'd have a hard time finding the opportunities to. Without local dog parks, pets can become reactive. What a gift and a relief that this exists in the community.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's so great to have a designated place to bring my dog for an off-leash walk so that we can do off-leash training and enjoyment here, while following leash bylaws elsewhere in town. Its also good to have a place where dogs can play, provided consent given by dogs and their people.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I visited this dog park last Summer when I came to New Denver for a visit, and I cannot rave enough about how great this dog park is! I loved how this small town had such a beautiful dog designated beach and natural forested area for my dog to run around. Definitely a must to take your dog to if you need a place that allows dogs off leash!
