★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Do not order from here! We ordered two custom doors, The order was placed in April expected delivery 4-6 weeks. At the end of six weeks we called to see where our shipment was and they had forgot to send the order to the supplier so it was going to be another four weeks in the end it took over 12 weeks to get our doors.
When we received them the backset was done incorrectly so you wouldn’t be able to install a deadbolt. They suggested we modify them, we weren’t about to modify brand new custom-made doors. We returned the doors. It has been nearly 2 weeks and we’re still waiting for our money back. Beware ordering anything custom built from Nelson Lumber.
Update. We did eventually receive our money back for the incorrectly built doors. However dealing with this company was a stressful unpleasant experience where in the end we had to buy our doors elsewhere. I would suggest ordering from a different company.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I rebuilt my front verandah and a side entry porch. Mark and everyone else at Nelson Lumber were very helpful. PLUS, they had everything I needed. You can't buy 6 x 6 posts or 2 x 12 planks at Home Depot.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Called today to get a quote on some fence lumber. Found the order desk guy not helpful at all. I barely got out the first item on my list, and the guy started giving me grief. With covid supply and demand issues it sounds like he was unable to fill my order (I'm only doing 40ft of fence...), so I asked for some prices on 1x6x6 fence board to see if it was worth putting in an order and waiting for it. When I noted that they were quite a bit more expensive than HomeDepot, the order desk guy then told me that the lumber he was selling was thicker. How is their 1x6x6 thicker?? Hung up, and got the lumber from HD and stopped wasting my time.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Called for a quote on trusses, sales staff member was impatient and belligerent. I had previously purchased lumber weeks before with no issue, but that being said I will simply take my future business elsewhere.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We called looking for an estimate for a truss package for our upcomjng shop project. the salesperson seemed to be uninterested in helping us. Between his loud chewing on the phone and his complete lack of enthusiasm. We won’t be buying any building materials from them anytime soon.
Call around the customer service from some of the other suppliers is much better.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Brutal service.. was told my door would be in just after the new year. Ordered before Christmas... no phone call or anything.. I call end of January its there.. come to pick up today. Yold to go to bay 6 and wait, someone will load me. Wait for 10+mins. Nobody around. Was waiting out in the freezing cold for Nobody. Had to call the front desk to get someone out there. Then took 10 mins to find the door.. need better organization, customer service. Just got it home and opened. Water damage on two sides. Thanks for storing it in a puddle...
