ND Sushi & Grill

Nice sushi. Worth the price. If you ar looking at cheap all you can eat type sushi, this is not the place. The place is somewhat expensive (but not extremely expensive like high level sushi omakase restaurant), but worth to visit.

Had the sushi combo B. The prices are ok relative to the quality. Quite fresh. The nigiri sushi pieces were large and thick. Almost can be made into 2 or 3 pieces each if you compare to a regular sushi restaurant. The dynamite roll was pretty good as well. Just like each piece of sushi, the roll was big. Worth a try.

Quality was super good and price is not expensive at all! Wish they had better wasabi, and sashimi was too thick for me but if you love thick sashimi i highly recommend this place! And also uni was super fresh!!!

Disappointed. Sashimi made me feel slightly ill but the scallop was good. I ordered a roll and the rice was cold and hard.

Stumble upon this little sushi place and was not disappointed! Seems to be run by a Japanese family and its a small spot, but their sushi quality is very good. You can really tell their sashimi is of good quality, the salmon melts in your mouth, and for the price point, its definitely a great deal. Service was great too.

HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT. (May 2022) When they used to be on Baldwin, it was pretty good. Now it’s very very disappointing.

Inconsistent roll sizes (tiny at the ends), not cut rolls, wet rice, bones in the sushi, and significantly more expensive than it used to be. It looked very different on the inside as well, so maybe new owners. Avoid.

EDIT 2021: the New ownership of ND sushi has drastically decreased the quality of my favourite sushi place, so much so that I will not be a returning customer after 10 years as a loyal patron. The menu has expanded from what used to be a small, carefully curated, high quality list to a large, bloated, poor quality, generic menu. The rice is crunchy, stale and hard while the fish is of low quality and poorly sliced. All my favourite rolls were tasteless and not made to the same standard as it was under old management. I am terribly disappointed as ND sushi used to be a hidden gem in Toronto and is now well below average. —————————- ND Sushi has some of the best sushi for its price point in the GTA. Whenever I go I get the sushi lunch or sushi C which consists of a sushi and maki combination. This combination never fails to impress as the rice is perfectly cooked and the fish tastes fresh and not rubbery. Often times I will choose a different maki roll and I haven't tried one that I haven't liked. I believe that this quality is maintained by the owner- a Korean woman who commands the kitchen and keeps the front staff running smoothly. The only slightly disappointing dish I tried was the sashimi salad which contained a few pieces of lettuce and five slices of fish. The disappointment came from the tiny size of the dish and the price point which was I believe high for what was provided. However, the quality of the fish was as always, excellent. At busy periods the place is always packed so making a reservation is advised. Also, unfortunately ND Sushi isn't open on Sundays and many times I have just forgone a Sunday Sushi lunch because nothing else compares!
