J	Jinchen Cai on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely family style dumplings for cheap! ? I forgot to take photos of what I ordered when I came. The serving staff is very kind and attentive. The dumplings tasted very fresh and juicy. I ordered 1 plate of steamed and 1 plate of boiled dumplings and some side dishes. You can taste that everything was fresh and made to order. Very amazing Northern style Chinese food!

They offer a wide variety of dumplings, steamed or pan-fried. I find particularly pretty their pan-fried pork and bok choi dumplings (they seem surrounded by lace), and their basket of sweet steamed buns, shaped as fruits. Then you get to stroll through Chinatown, on Spadina, south of College Street, and Dundas Street West, up to the AGO. The district is always effervescent with its multiple small businesses. It is well frequented by the Asian population, which gives it all the credibility wanted.

The kimichi fried rice and general tso chicken were both really good! Wonton soup was too watery and dumplings and green onion pancake were okay. Overall I’d come back but wouldn’t be my first pick for dumplings

With all the accolades and positive reviews, I was really hoping for some excellent dumplings for the price being charged, but they were subpar; the juicy dumplings lacked juice and soup - I also wasn't given a soup spoon for it (should of been a red flag that it wasn't going to be juicy) and the pork chive dumplings were bland. The restaurant was clean and tidy, however, it was really hot in the restaurant and did not seem to be air conditioned. The service was mediocre as well.

We were surprised to find the dish is available because it’s hard to find it! I liked the green dumplings as well. We were a little disappointed with the xia long bao, bc it didn’t have much ‘soup’ to it :( Usually you would drink the soup out of the dumpling first, but nothing came out when we tried. The dessert sweet assorted buns were okay, but the middle coconut dumpling? Was very delicious!

There is even a glass window to allow you to see someone hand making the dumplings. When it came to the food I did notice the quality of the noodles in my jian noodles, it definitely tasted handmade but the sauce was a little saucy and lacked flavour. The soup dumplings tasted as if it was made from scratch but it lacked soup, I was really looking forward to slurping up some nice flavoured soup. Note the fried pancakes are very small! The menu photo is slightly deceiving and the taste was a little on the mediocre side. On the one side I really did appreciate the Service everyone was kind and attentive. Overal 3.5 stars. Good service. Good food, but could be better
