Witnessed Chris and his crew at the overflow lot on Terminal smoking inside the vehicles while cleaning them. Chris is unprofessional, rude and overall unpleasant to deal with.

The National auto group team are very professional and they are committed to what they sell. I bought a Mercedes and even though I was told the breaks needed to be changed, they changed the breaks and rotors after the car was bought. I definitely recommend them.

The most horrible car purchase experience I have ever had. Chris is a Scam who set up with mechanical shop that gives away fake reports. My car has a good report , 3 k later it was broken! AVOID!!

Bought a car. Perfect mechanical report. 2 months later my car is completely broken. Chris you are the SCAM. You are definitely set up with Mechanic who is giving away fake reports. So much time, money and energy you literally stole from us. Cannot imagine how many people you screwed. AVOID THIS COMPANY!!!

I didn't deal with the dealership itself so I can't speak about their service. I did deal with a man named Chris, who works in the overflow lot, on Terminal where they keep their overstock. I made the mistake of going to the dealer and asking about a vehicle I saw online and was told to give Chris a call, he would either bring the vehicle to the dealer lot, or I would meet him at the overflow lot. Once giving Chris a call he was sure to make me aware of the mistake I made in not calling him beforehand. I was told he would be about 10 mins and I could meet him at the overflow lot, which was about 6 mins away from the dealer, there I could look at the vehicle and he would be back with the dealer plates to take it for a test drive. After arriving at the lot I was able to do a thorough check of the vehicle and noticed it smelled like cigarettes, which I thought was from the previous owner, I later realized him and his cleaning crew smoking in the vehicles. 15 mins after checking out the vehicle he was nowhere to be found. Having planned to meet people for lunch I had to leave and come back, since he was nowhere in sight. I gave Chris a call to see if we could schedule time for the test drive, so I would not make the mistake of being at the lot while he wasn't around again. Instead of scheduling a test drive he had told me others were interested in the vehicle and If I wanted it I would have to give him $100 to secure the vehicle. I took my chances and came back after lunch. My first face to face meeting with Chris I reached out for a handshake and got a fist bump instead. Before even taking the vehicle out for a test drive he told me the price and asked that if I like the vehicle, after driving it, I agree to purchase it. Given that I had come from the Sunshine Coast to look at vehicles and purchase one that day, I agreed. The test drive went alright, he had seemed nice enough but he was taking personal calls as we were driving. After heading back to the lot and after test driving a car, especially from a dealership, I wanted to negotiate the price, seeing as to there were some fixes that needed to be done to the vehicle. The vehicle was priced pretty average for the condition (considering the mechanical issues that needed to be addressed) so as any car buyer I started off fairly low to try and meet at a price we were both happy about. Understandably he didn't take my first offer. Going up into another offer he went from nice enough to completely offended and had no intentions of negotiating. He offered to take a whole $95 off the price and that was it. I made another offer and he just completely lost it. I have dealt with other dealers in the past with insanely low offers and found somewhere where both parties were happy no one got offended and it was all very professional. That was NOT Chris. He was very erratic, jumping from emotions, very unprofessional, allowing his employees to smoke in vehicles, and fist bumping instead of a handshake. Again I can't speak for the actual employees at the dealership, only Chris who didn't seem to work in the actual dealership. I would NOT recommend dealing with Chris.

BUYER BEWARE. I dealt with Chris at the overflow lot on Terminal. He started off polite but only 5-7 minutes into me checking the car, he had a meltdown - literally started screaming & trying to intimidate me. All because I was checking to see if there was a spare tire with the car. Apparently no one in his 30 years of business has ever checked the spare tire. According to him, you need to pay for the car before doing due diligence, which is a lie. He even refused to show any paperwork until after he received payment. He sulked when I said I wasn’t buying a car before doing a pre-purchase inspection. I was also not allowed to use my OBDII scanner to check that the electronic warnings haven’t been reset, which is a massive red flag. I’ve purchased cars before & have never met a seller so shady & erratic. Fortunately, I was able to stay calm & composed. A truly bizzare experience. This is not ethical, normal or even safe behaviour. I hope someone sees this before they get scammed or worse. I guess that’s Craigslist ads for you. UPDATE: I called the General Manager, Ben after seeing his response. I feel he was sincere with his apology & he even offered to look after me if I gave them another chance. However, Chris lied to his boss that “he was worried” that I would hurt myself by accessing the spare tire. The reality is I was simply unzipping the spare tire cover to see if it was a full spare or an emergency spare. Unfortunately, the facts remain - they have a toxic employee who actively hurts their business & is not suitable to be in a public-facing role.
