★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is worth while the trip. Lots of beautiful scenery when pulling into Nanaimo and overall a great experience to travel to the Island. Lots to do if you aren’t into scenery and if you are lots of nature and water to look at. Who knows you may even see some sea life. Good food and good staff all who are helpful and nice. Worth while checking out if you’re looking to go to the Island.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We joined the line up at 10:15, so we could make the 11:20 sailing. However!!!! The ferry was SOOOO Late, (AGAIN) That we did not board the ferry until 12:05. Fortunately we did make our reservation for 1:00 at Departure bay, but only because their clocks must be a couple minutes slow! It took us over 2 hours to get off gabriola!!!!! RIDICULOUS!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice area, took the ferry to Gabriola Island from here, unlike on the Gabriola side, this terminal has waiting area just like Departure Bay. The ferry is pretty frequent and you only pay once at this terminal to go and get back, which is nice.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Staff are lovely, but u hate this company more than anything. Always late, overpriced and I’ve been waiting in my car for 30 minutes waiting to drive off of the boat. No reason to be this delayed

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Traffic control people were terrible and rude. one was telling us to move while the other is telling us to stop and yelling at us in Spanish ? ? it was brutal. You can tell that they really like their jobs lol?
