★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went for it’s high rating. However, I think I did a mistake of coming for lunch. The food was okay standard, and I’m not a fan of powdered green tea. Maybe this place is good for its desert? As I saw people came for only that…Anyway, won’t come for lunch/dinner anymore.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I Googled a place that has Matcha Ice cream (my hubby's favorite!). A few places came up and I chose to take him here as a pit stop on his birthday.
The Matcha ice cream was Great! There are many Macha options here. We also ordered some Genmaicha tea and Marinated Tuna Dashi Chazuke bowl
The tea was a tea bag in a pot, but still very delicious.
Tuna was freah tasting and delicious also!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cozy place in a busy area of Kerrisdale, everything has matcha in it. Plenty of fancy tea based drinks on the menu, but the wait was quite long last time we visited, not sure if it was due to staff shortage because of covid. Waiting in line took a long time too, however service was friendly. The pastry was delicious and tea was good. We'll need to give this place another try. Street parking nearby is very pricey, but on side streets there's couple of free parking spots.

I think this place is one of the precious and rare cafe for Kyoto match dessert.
Actually I tried this Match Azuki(Red bean) cake and was nice without sweetness. Spacious and limited dine-in spots and pretty funk and loud J-pop inside. You should check before your order if you want to have seat.
However the cake was bit dry for me. Initially Japanese rolled cake is very famous with those moisture and smooth texture.
Please, check this out for various Japanese authentic desserts and even some of meals as well

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice smooth soft serve ice-cream. I haven’t been back since before covid; it looks like the hot food menu has been expanded - nice! I’ll have to come back to try their new offerings since I’d enjoyed their food in the past.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tried the matcha ice cream with matcha chocolate pretty pricey for $9 but you can taste the real quality matcha and it’s not too sweet. Would recommend if you want to have a light dessert after dinner. They offer good savoury options too. Rice bowls, chicken to salmon to beef you have a few options to choose from. Also other desserts are available such as matcha cake, tarts and cookies! My personal favourite is the matcha parfait too! Would recommend if you’re in the neighborhood of Kerrisdale!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Always loved this place, dunno why I waited so long to rate it! It's a treat for my husband and I whenever we are in the neighborhood. Their matcha parfait is delicious! While hojicha shake wasn't on the menu, one of the staff made one for me, it was very nice and accommodating of him!
