J	Jonathan Chute on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ For three years we contacted Muskoka Septic to service our water access cottage near Bracebridge. Each year they said they'd be glad to help us. And every time they failed to answer emails or return calls. This year we started in January, emailed and followed up by phone. Spoke to an actual person. Discussed servicing the cottage in May or June. Followed up in April. Again in May. There was another cottage out our way they were going to do in a couple of weeks. We found another cottage on our lake to add to ours, as they'd asked us to do. Called again a couple of weeks later to check. No, they hadn't done the other cottage. Would call before they headed out. Called again when we were at the cottage for a month, asking whether we could get on their calendar with a firm date – "Oh no, we're really busy now!" I said, "That's why we started talking to you in January." He said "Well, we weren't busy then but we couldn't get out on the lake" and laughed. Maybe, he suggested, at the end of the season. That made me laugh, because each of the previous two years he'd said they shouldn't empty a tank before winter. So we moved on, and found Georgian Bay Septic. It was a lot farther for them to come out, but they actually showed up and did the job! We thought that was a nice touch. Muskoka Septic offer the worst customer service of any company we've dealt with in any field, bar none. The worst.
