Really crispy fried Katsu. A variety of dishes that were all served to the table by a friendly staff that was very accommodating. The dishes all had their own distinct flavours that were not oily or greasy at all. The shrimp and squid were cooked very well and didn't seem tough or rubbery in any way. Was definitely a nice place to stumble across and would return if in the area without hesitation.

Really good tonkatsu. I had the pork loin with cheese katsu. The skin was really crispy, the meat tender and juicy, and the melted light cheese added extra flavour. This dish was also served with rice, miso soup, tonkatsu sauce with sesame seeds you grind yourself, and shredded cabbage with a sweet and sour vinaigrette. I also had the crispy chicken thigh. Again, the meat was tender and juicy, the skin crispy, and there was also mustard added in with the meat for extra flavour. Overall, a really satisfying fried meal.

Not bad! The service was top notch and the sesame seed grinder was a really cool experience! Really enjoyed the rice! Super delicate and just the right moisture balance. The katsu was fairly fantastic but nothing mind-blowing. Would recommend the pork first.

1 word: Value. The katsu plates come with free refills of cabbage, miso soup, rice, and the teriyaki sauce. You’re going home satisfied and sleeping well the same night you visit this venue. Check out their daily $10 takeout specials for round 2 the next day.

I been wanting to try their 10 dollar take out box, and by far the most juiciest and most tender and also most chicken flavored katsu. most chicken katsus I tasted, taste almost identical to pork but this bird was so flavourful. I made sure to write a review when I got home and so here it is

Not the best katsu place imo. The cutlet wasn’t crispy and needed salt. Didn’t enjoy the dipping sauce either. The food at Katsuya tasted a lot better and didn’t feel as heavy.

Tried to go here before but I came too close to closing time but made it inside this time. Food was good and filling but I can’t say it was amazing. Good spot to fill your katsu cravings. Pictured above: Cheese Katsu which came with the sauce, cabbage, rice and miso soup. Really filling and would recommend.
