One of the most expensive handyman companies, least responsive to clients, didn’t finish the work because they didn’t like my review, that they themselves asked for. Didn’t call back for over a week to discuss an issue, didn’t complete work after charging me $176 for a estimate, charge that was supposed to be applied towards the repairs, that they never completed. I only wish I had read their reviews on yelp before calling them.

Had John out to install a large glass whiteboard and move our projector screen & projector. He was very professional, arrived on time and spent extra time making sure things were just right. Thank you!

They came on time did Exactly what was needed, ( which was to repair the siding at the very top of the house in two places). They there were quick, courteous, professional and fixed the issue. They quoted before they started and they charged me exactly what they said. Very satisfied.

Great job from beginning to end on utility room drywall! Abe visited the site, provided a very reasonable quote, and was actually willing to do the work! (unlike several other contractors I called) Ed came and spent 3 days doing a great job framing and drywalling on a very difficult job. Highly recommend Ed and Abe as they were both very professional, very fair and friendly, and did high quality work on a difficult project! Ask for Abe and Ed! Before and after photos attached

Mary got back to me within minutes of my inquiry and soon had an appointment booked for the next day. Brian then carried out my siding repair quickly and safely, did a great job and was very helpful. Great service all around, thank you!

DO NOT HIRE!! This company will come across professional and timely. I paid for services not completed and was told their employee out in the hours they agreed to so was good enough. I hired them to fix drywall and paint before listing my house. Rob, the employee, didn’t finish on time, was flustered and said he would be back on the Monday. I sent texts and called throughout the day on Monday with no response. My house was being listed the next day. I was stressed and very upset. After calling the office, they would not reimburse me for the services not completed that I now had to complete on my own. The owner is VERY rude and puts all the blame back on you. They are expensive and don’t complete work and blame you when not completed. Keep looking and do not bother with this company. They likely will respond to this review with excuses and blame. Don’t be fooled

My experience using Mr Handyman for my bathroom updates was good. John McCrea was easy to deal with and communication was good and I had no complaints. The project involved replacing flooring, toilets, sink and faucets, cabinet door replacement, and medicine cabinet replacement. The project took longer than I had imagined but the quality of work was excellent and everything we discussed was executed well.

So, these folks are FABULOUS! We are out of town landlords who had a very brief window of time between our tenants switching in and out to assess and repair a long laundry list of repairs on a 100 + year old home. I had no expectations that we would get everything done and assumed that we would have to leave town with at least a few lingering items to be coordinated with our new tenants. I am still in shock, and so thankful, that everything got done within a few days, with such high quality and even under the initial amount quoted! Abe and Santiago were expert professionals. On time at all times, knowledgeable, hard working, honest and so wonderful to deal with ensuring that our home was left better and more clean than how they found it. They kindly offered their opinions on options when applicable and never pushed to up-sell or take advantage of a situation, even when it could have meant a substantial increase to the work we would require (and their invoice!). They were also happy to admit when another contractor may be better to deal with something given our specific situation AND they were just genuinely very nice people to have around. A few of the items they tackled for us the couple days they were with us: stripped, assessed and resurfaced a bathroom ceiling, light/electrical assessment, plumbing/water leak assessment, rebuilt an outdoor gate (it’s so nice!), re-shingled patches of the roof, hole patching, tile matching and replacement, toilet installation and garbage/heavy item removal/dumping. One very minor thing to be mindful of when calling to book...I was told they’d be ready to go to work the same day they came to do the walk through (which I thought was odd as I assumed they’d need to assess everything first but I was assured) anyway, that wasn’t the case, it’s apparently more for minor jobs like light bulb replacements. I was a bit stressed when I learned that given our time constraints and the fact I’d specifically outlined our needs when I booked BUT, I shouldn’t have worried, they got the quote to us that night and came back the next day to get started (and they got all the work done in under their initial time and budget quoted). They honestly made, what we thought was going to be a very stressful week, so easy! Whether they like it or not, they’re now the official handy people for the Beers House! :)
