★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Rooms are spacious for a motel. Interior are well kept, beautifully ornate and modern, with a bed fit for a 5 star hotel. Best night sleep in a long time! Highly recommended to all!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beware the shakedown if you have a dog....and shake down happens the next day. 25 Canadian dollars fee, out of the blue, delivered sternly not by the manager ( she is suddenly MIA) but the...head of the cleaners? She snatched the cash and put it in...a box. I had confessed the dog at check in, but no matter. I smelled a rat, but my French poor and I just paid it. C’est domage. Beware.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very friendly. Fun that I don't know much French and they don't know much English. The rooms have little back porches with views. Very comfortable. Reasonable $$$$.
The bar and simple restaurant inhabited by locals who park their tractors out front and nurse a beer.
The town and river front area walks are fantastic. There is a poissonarie of high quality foodcthat uses single service ware nearby.
Unfortunately our visit coincided with post harvest fertilize the fields time......and feculence was in the air.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We got caught in a snow storm, called the motel and they opened a room for us. We were traveling with our small dog there was no issue she was as welcome as we were. The room was extremely clean. The rooms have patio doors and a glorious view of the St. Lawrence.
I would recommend this place
To anyone.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were just passing through on a road trip and got in late but were surprised with how nice the little town was. They left a key for us which was great. We got in and found a great room with two double beds. Lots of blankets and pillows and had a stunning view of the st Lawrence river. Room was very very clean and would definitely come back again!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We ended up in the middle of a snow storm, roads closed 0 visibility. They accepted us last minute. Did not Price gouge and even asked if we had eaten. A safe harbour in a storm for sure. We will go back next trip to NB from ON and stay again. We have a lot of family who will be passing through to visit out newly ordained NBers. Every one will know to call Motel Des Mariners. Merci beaucoups.
