I	Isabel Romero on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I took my dog because I couldn’t go to my usual vet. I asked attendant to give my dog her shot and check her eyes. Came back out with vet after they examined my dog with a long list of tests that should be performed before they consider giving her shot, in particular test to verify her thyroid. I agreed to thyroid and eye-related ones. Came back out with a result on thyroid that was “ off the chart” so much so that he couldn’t get a reading. Also diagnosed a bunch of conditions related to her eyes and prescribed meds for both conditions. I was confused about thyroid because there were never any issues but I went along because we want the best for our pets. $600 later I took her home And gave her meds for thyroid for a few days and she became completely despondent and eyes also became worse so we stopped both meds except for eye dryness drops. Office called a few days later and said I should have brought her back but I did not trust them. My dog gradually got better without meds, including eyes. I managed to take her back to her regular vet who tested her for thyroid. Results came back normal. Montreal Road vet did not even provide a reading on results which I understand can happen but when it does, you run tests again. Eye diagnosis is different and she got drops which have alleviated her symptoms. I asked this clinic for a refund for meds but I never heard from them. My feeling is that this clinic tries to upsell treatment via diagnosis.

Come Friday my husband goes to pick it up and he's told it's back ordered. WHY WASNT I TOLD THIS TUESDAY or gotten a call??? Who's gonna come to my house and clean up the messes. My dog is diabetic. She can't go a day without pills. She's going to suffer!

He was clearly making an effort to be compassionate with me. My review is for the demeanor and service of the vet. They walked into the room without greeting me and had a conversation in front of me about my cat without asking more than one question. My bill quickly racked up and I felt the need to ask questions because again, the conversation happened in front of me with no explanation and I was expected to pay hundreds of dollars. In normal circumstances I can afford unexpected payments, but I was clear with the doctor that I could not afford to currently. I was given a discount of my consultation fee which is appreciated. Because I could not afford all of the treatments I went with that seemed most imperative to treat my cat's skin reaction. The doctor told me that there's no point in what I'm doing since it won't solve the problem. I understand that being low income impacts my ability to care for my cats, but to have someone be so condescending and rude to me in an already vulnerable time was unacceptable. I will not return here despite having previously had good experiences. I will also make sure that I do not recommend this place.

They even gave him a complimentary nail trim and took lots of time telling me what needed to be done and answered all my questions. Great service, really glad I switched vets to this new place.

The office staff were able to find me financial aid in order to pay the the surgery my dog needed without their help and dedication I would not have been able to care for my dog. Anyone that is looking for a great Vet veterinarian call them at Montreal Road Animal Hospital they will care for your pet with 100% pure love and care.
