It is especially fun if you like tree skiing, powder, and natural terrain features. They take an excellent light approach to grooming.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Mont Chilly: come for the rolling hills and stay for the lesson in human perseverance. This family-run ski hill is delightful. Don't let the number of runs fool you: Mont Chilly caters to every skill level. Gentle slopes for beginners? They got 'em. Double-black diamond? Yup. Everything in between? You betcha. The apres-ski vibe was in full force when we visited the lodge, with a sunny outside seating area and a number of friendly dogs to pet. Other ski resorts in the Ottawa region may boast a higher vertical, but none are truer to the intrepid spirit of alpine skiing than Mont Chilly. Not to be missed.
