My family and I skied here over the March break. The hills themselves are ok but we found they are either to easy or to hard and there isn’t a lot in between. I would love to say we will be back but sadly the customer service we received from several staff members during our time has left a bad taste in my mouth and that is the reason we will never be returning and we will be sure to tell our family and friends about The unacceptable customer service we received during our time at the hill. For the amount of money we spent at this small time ski hill I would have expected the staff to treat their customers at least with the smallest bit of respect.

I would love to give Hidden Valley a 5 star review because it’s a great local spot with a nice little selection of lifts and runs, with great views. However, it seems as though they’ve learned how to use the current surge in demand for outdoor activities, due to COVID, as an opportunity to do what in my opinion is price gouging. It’s no longer possible to buy a season pass that incorporates weekend days, you can only have Saturday night. As a local that works Monday to Friday, this is frustrating, however I can grin and bare this, as it seems to be common place lately within Ontario. With that said, one might think they would offer some sort of discount to season pass holders that wish to ski during the day on weekends - call it a loyalty discount? Nope, full price. So, with this all in mind, I attempted to purchase a half day pass (12:30 - 4 / 3.5hrs) online and was met with a sold out indicator. Suspicious that this was in error, I checked out a full day pass (9-4 / which includes the half day time parameters) and it was available. I assumed there was some sort of glitch with the system, as if this is for keeping numbers in line for government restriction, etc, it would not make logical sense that one could buy the 9-4 but not 12:30-4. So, I thought I’d head to the hill and chat with the nice people at customer service, thinking they’d be happy to know of the system glitch. This is when I was advised that the 12:30-4 time slots were indeed sold out and I would be required to purchase the full day (9-4)… the interesting part is that the current time was 12:35. Assuming this still was sort of a mix up, I asked if we could ask someone if an exception could be made. I expressed how I couldn’t understand why I would be required to purchase a pass (for more money) for a time slot that didn’t exist anymore, because the current time slot was sold out. Another woman came over and the answer was a hard no, I would need to pay full price for the full day pass to be able to ski a half day, as half day passes were sold out. Given that I have also shelled out for the 3x3 pass (the most coverage you can buy with a season pass), this was the straw the broke the camels back, as they say. I decided to leave and instead look into other hills that I can plan to go to with my friends and family instead of using our local hill. Unfortunate to say the least, as someone who grew up in Huntsville going to Hidden Valley, and lives and works here still, I feel somewhat marginalized by this system set up to β€œcash grab” tourists no doubt. In any case, I hope management reads this and perhaps revisits their policies to show even the slightest bit of courtesy to their local, long supporting clients. This hill has had tough years before, and no doubt they will again. I wonder if they will expect their loyal locals to support them again through those times? For now I guess they can just continue to abuse the captive audience that they have.

Hidden Valley is a great ski resort! My kids and I are there many times over the winter. The staff and management are always friendly, courteous and helpful. The hills are always in good to great shape. Even the cafeteria food is really good! My 13 year old son recently crashed while skiing. The ski patrol (John) was there to help. John contacted me immediately to alert me and fill me in on my son's condition. He recommended we go to the Huntsville hospital to get checked out. Turns out my son was concussed. If John had not acted so quickly complications may have risen. As it turns out, my son is going to be okay with some rest. Thank you to John and all the professional people at Hidden Valley.

This is really great hill for families since there are a lot of options for longer easier runs as well as some harder ones for experienced folks. It was also not insanely packed as other hills in Ontario, which made the whole experience a lot more relaxing since we could get a lot of runs in. My kids took lessons and loved their instructor. She was patient and kind and was really great at teaching. For their first time skiing, they ended up doing all the greens and my son even did some blues. The lift ticket lines was organized and short. My only complaint would be that the rentals were not very organized and a few of us had some issues with our equipment, but this could have been an off-day/fluke. Overall, I would recommend this to families who want to give their kids a positive first experience on the slopes!

We went and had a wonderful time! Fresh powder thanks to mother nature and the great snowfall of 2022 made for excellent conditions! Lifties were awesome, craft beer on tap! Will return soon for sure.

I love Hidden Valley. It’s where I’ve learned to ski and I am so happy each time I visit. I visited over reading break this year in February and it was amazing. I love the design β€” the lodge where you can sit and enjoy refreshments while watching the hill. The speedy lifts and intuitive planning. They also play fantastic music. When I visited I had forgotten to book rentals and was crestfallen after discovering that there were no rentals available that day. Fortunately, thanks to Chrissy and Jen I was able to have my day on the hill, and I even got to take a lesson too. Employees go above and beyond here, and it shows. Thank you for all the fantastic experiences and dutiful service to your customers. You have a loyal and enthusiastic customer here, I am counting the days until next season. Thank you!

We had the most wonderful day today. Such a beautiful location. Nestled in the most quaint valley. The people there are so friendly and helpful. From the lady who did our tickets, to the knowledgable gentleman in the retail store, the super helpful and sweet lady in rentals, and the friendly lift attendant who smiles with her eyes. Oh and the two young men who "rescued" my son who managed to fall off the trail into deep powder. My son and I had a brilliant day skiing today and can't wait to go back again.
