About Minute Muffler & Brake
The first Minute Muffler shop opened on the corner of 5th Street and 6th Avenue South, in Lethbridge, Alberta in 1969.
At that time, Minute Muffler was the only shop in Lethbridge specializing solely in mufflers and exhaust systems. News quickly spread and Minute Muffler became an instant hit and the talk of the town.
Minute Muffler was so successful that in 1971 a second shop was opened in Medicine Hat, Alberta quickly followed by two more shops in British Columbia. Following this success Minute Muffler became a franchise business. Today there are over 90 Minute Muffler & Brake franchises across Canada.
Although muffler and performance exhaust systems remain our primary service we also specialize in brake repair, shock absorbers, struts and at a growing number of locations we offer oil, lube and car care check-up and other services.
The guiding principle remains the same as the first Minute Muffler shop opened back in 1969. Simply put…

β β β β β I have dealt with Minute Muffler since 1979. They have done at least 3 dual exhaust systems over the years for me in addition to muffler changes and they are an A1 service to deal with. Their pricing is competitive but their service and the quality of work is second to none. Let DJ and his team look after you as your first choice and you will not make a bad choice.

β β β β β Just had complete brake service today for my F150. First brakes in almost 200,000 Kimβs. Got great service. The team listened to my time crunch and all three worked together (I think they event brought in an off duty tech to help) I feel I got as good a deal as was available but Iβd recommend them for any of the services they provide. Very satisfied

β β β β β Well where do I begin...Once upon a time took my used 2006 Pathfinder in for an Inspection for Insurance. Had an appt made for the next day after purchase which was awesome. Check engines lights were off but came back on rite away and it was spinning out of gear, thought it needed sensors but not sure at this point. Have made an appointment with Gershaw Auto, SouthTech is my first choice but Larry has decided to retire... God Bless!
The day I came in to minute muffler to pick up and stepped into the office section which was filled with cigarette smoke killing me and my lungs, was not impressed especially considering I phoned prior to my arrival, jeesh...
Phoned them today and spoke with DJ about the problem and lack of knowledge, which was a complete and utter waste of time. After speaking with him for a few minutes, he says excuse me brb there is a phone call I need to take.............................................................................................
after 10minutes on HOLD I hung up which is when most likely was getting an important phone call I MISSED...which happened to ruin my whole day!
Boy oh boy I say what! big deal when you owe them money and want to have a lean on your vehicle, but when the tables have turned there is zero accountability on their behalf. ridiculous, never back to this particular minute muffler on Kingsway. thanks for nothing.

β β β β β Me and my buddies were stranded on a friday afternoon during a roadtrip to Calgary from Winnipeg when our brakes gave out. No place in town would take us in until monday, but these guys made it work in their schedule to help us get back on our way. Even when knowing we were desperate we got a very good price and havent had an issue since they worked on the brakes. I would recommend this location to anyone. Kind people and quick service at a good price.
