Save your money, unless you're getting this for free. I tried this service last year in order to get some assistance with typical issues like anxiety and depression. The experience was lackluster to say the least. Little to no interaction with a real person as well as assigned readings that provide only basic background information on mental health topics and how to improve the way you think about things. What interactions I did get seemed robotic and completely disconnected with little actionable advice provided and vague answers to any questions I had. My advice based on my experience would be to try and find a real professional you can talk with one on one as MindBeacon seems to be an attempt to mass produce a solution for those seeking assistance with little emphasis on quality or an individuals specific situation or concerns.

First online therapy went okay. Therapist was late for a few minute then cut it short 15min at the end . 196$/50min more like 196$/40min. Second online therapy, therapist never connected. I connected 5min prior to appointment. Stayed connected for the whole hour. Know waiting if they are gonna charge me 196$ for wasting my own time. Mindbeacon owes me 1hr of my time. I was very septic about this web site for good reasons. Now I know I was right about it. I would not recommand this solution to any one.

This review is related to their "guided" CBT program. This program is delivered through their website and a customer service rep from MindBeacon checks in and assigns you new work from time to time, and no matter where you are in the program it ends exactly 12 weeks from when you started. Let's start with the good: -skills taught are useful and grounded in CBT methodology -there is probably a person helping you through the program -it is convenient to be able to use it online -using the app gives you lots of practice with emotional regulation as it is very difficult to use -you get a dedicated customer service rep who checks in on your progress and theoretically assigns you things that are tailored to the specific help you need Now for the bad: -the customer service rep "guiding" my treatment was disconnected and often did not assign me new work, I would come back after a busy week hoping to dive in and there would be a message 'hi hows it going on this module'. I would answer, and then it would typically take 3 days to a week for them to get back. The CSR seemed to have no clue what my actual problems were and just wanted to check 'respond to this guy' before the end of the day. At this point I honestly think it is a bot -there is only 6 modules delivered over a 12 week "treatment", and there is a lot of CBT ground I see in other programs that was not covered -you have to wait for your customer service rep to unlock the next module, and they often dont check on you for 3-7 days -app is very difficult to navigate, you cant just go back to a page on a module to help you fill out the worksheet, you end up having to navigate back to the module, go through all the pages, and by the time you find the information you need and make it back to the worksheet you forget what you needed to know and need to start the whole process again. If you try to load up the information on a separate tab it signs you out of your original tab. It was good practice for emotional regulation! all in all I was not very impressed with the guided CBT program, the peer to peer wellness site is not very useful. When I looked in the app for 1-1 counselling there was one counselor who did not meet my needs. Overall it was a very disappointing program, and I can imagine that all of their other products would be similar - great idea, just awful execution. Having actually licensed therapists guiding the program would be useful, too, as they might actually be able to interpret the mountain of personal health information required to enter into this program.

I'm not new to therapy but this format was something I have never tried and I have never had so much success. The therapist assigned was able to pin point what I needed to work on and pushed thru modules that help me better understand my faulty thinking. I loved the thought records that forced me to face issues. As with any therapy, you have to put in the work. Great program that I have recommended to friends and family.

My MindBeacon experience was fantastic. My therapist Melissa was extremely professional and I would recommend it to all my friends. It's worth mentioning MindBeacon might not be the best fit for everyone. I found it requires a lot of introspection and self-reflection. You also have to be self-motivated and diligent about doing the work. But it was nice that I could go at my own pace and define my own goals.

I tried MindBeacon as part of the government of Ontario program so at no cost to me. I found it very helpful for the goals I had in mind for the time-frame and scope of the program. and got really good support from the therapist . She was very quick in answering my messages and providing new material at my own pace. I really liked the materials and exercises. I liked that my work was saved and I could do an exercise several times or go back back check it. Of course, as in any therapy, this might not be for everyone so I encourage you to get as much information about it to see if it's a good fit.

I read some of the negative reviews a few months ago and felt disheartened, but I had no other options so I tried it. I'm so so happy I did. My therapist was extremely kind, and I learned so much about how the issues I face work and how to fix them. I love how I don't have to talk face to face because it made me really anxious to do that. Shout out to my therapist for answering so quickly and really doing everything in their power to help me!

My experience with the therapy program was great. That was my first time looking for mental health treatments. I have PTSD, a moderate level of depression and anxiety. Dr. Brianna was kind and understanding. The online resources are useful, I've been learning so much about my thoughts and my feelings. Sometimes I thought about giving up because was very hard not to procrastinate and do the worksheets but I've been overcoming my worries and I am 100% sure MindBeacon was crucial for my improvement.
