If heading westbound, there is a great Mexican restaurant just west of Bridesville; if going eastbound Greenwood has a couple of wonderful coffee shops and eateries. However, if you really cannot wait and must eat now, this is one of your only options. And, honestly, I would wait. Here's why: Decor/visual stimulation: pretty spare. White walls with a few small pieces of artwork which are quite negligible due to its tiny size. Bare tables with utensils literally thrown in front of us along with the condiment tray. Bathroom is quite unappealing. Service: the one server was friendly and efficient in a loud, brash, and rough way. She would bring out the dishes two at a time and literally ask by yelling overtop our conversations, "Who ordered the.."? First, the server should know; second, yelling. Really? Did I mention she was friendly. My water was never re-filled and she never came to check on us to ensure everything was satisfactory which is pretty standard. Did I mention she was friendly? Food: in a word, terrible. The fries were overcooked which created a rock hard, tasteless starch. I was able to swallow the fries only by slathering them in copious amounts of ketchup. As for my main, I had the salmon wrap. Now, I understand and do not expect fresh, wild coho, sockeye, spring, etc. However, I can pretty much surmise that no one in this establishment would know which species of salmon it was and furthermore, at least try deal with the dryness of the flesh by marinating (or at the very least) mix the salmon with the sauce that you accompany it with. Instead, I would take a bite on one side and get a mouthful of too sweet sauce with a few vegetable fillers and then on the next bite I would be assaulted by dry salmon flesh that most likely came from a can. Btw, my guess is that this was pink salmon due to the light colour of the flesh and the fact it is the most commonly used species in the commercial salmon industry. Value/price point: This part of the review received the highest marks. The quantity of food was quite adequate in the sense that I left stuffed. And the price point is a few dollars less than similar restaurants in bigger urban centres. As much as I try to give the benefit of the doubt and rate businesses with a less critical eye than others (I do understand that these reviews can have a significant impact on the bottom line) when it comes to restaurants and such, ultimately I have to base my conclusions with food quality as the main factor. And with this in mind, I have to say Mile 0 Diner missed the mark. 2 stars.

A mature professional couple that wanted to rent a room. Dual purpose trip, business and hunting. She would not rent a room because we were hunting! Should not judge all customers. INSULATED! Bwe have stayed in very high end hotels through out North America! I will would recommend boycotting this place due to her bad attitude!

I was very pleased with the room and the staff. It was clean, while equipped and the front desk staff, Vicky, was accommodating and friendly. The restaurant attached to it was good and offered a home-cooked meal for a weary traveler. Thanks again

The hotel it’s self is a pleasant stay but the people that actually run this establishment are miserable. I don’t know what else to say they are rude and arrogant people who think they run the queens palace for a 1 night stay to sleep and leave is ok but if you plan to stay any longer you mind as well sleep in you car you’ll feel more comfortable.

The room was comfortable with many amenities, but every interaction with the owner beyond check-in was unpleasant. We were getting into town early and asked about early check-in, and received a very rude reply. The manager was aggressive with my partner when he left our room as she didn't know he was in there and apparently needed to be registered (she hadn't asked at check-in). A few dishes are provided but be sure to leave $10 cash to wash them or you'll be charged $50. I was in town for an event and I think every party that booked a room ran up against the manager for innocuous things that hotels typically wouldn't blink at, from loaning a key to somebody to grab something out of the room, to a family booking two rooms and swapping which members were in each room to optimize bed space (they got a talking to for that). I was going to forget about it, but now apparently a *coat hanger* went missing and I may be charged for it. I felt like the entire time I was there I was under surveillance and I checked out as soon as possible (but only after washing the coffee pot to avoid further charges).

Due to some unfortunate circumstances, my girlfriend and I ended up having to stay the night here last week. And what a great stay we had. I wish I had got the name of the woman who had helped us to personally thank her here. The attached restaurant has some really good homemade style food, and the waitress working was incredibly friendly. I think this will be added to our regular stops when traveling through Midway. Our stay certainly left a long lasting memory with us.

I picked up my Mum from the coast and when we hit Midway, we still had a long way to go. So my Mum wanted to rest. We stopped at this hotel and let me tell you. The lady who runs it set us up with a fantastic room. She also was very understanding of the anxiety my 80 year old Mum had from running through the mountains and went above and beyond to provide us with the highest level of comfort. Definitely recommend staying here if you are in the area. Thank you so much for a fantastic motel experience.
