I came to this branch a few times and every time I visit they always find something wrong which cost me more money even if I do not feel anything wrong with my vehicle. This time, I took my Dad’s mini van for a quick alignment which supposed to costing me $119.99 plus tax. A few minutes later the manager said they have to adjust something which will cost me. 30 min labor ($75). I was told it will only takes 30-45 min but I waited 1.5 hrs. When I came, they were not even busy. After the alignment, the mechanic took it for a drive. I paid $245, after driving for a block, my steering wheel was not even when I drive straight. I took it back right away within 5 min. When I came back, the manager said I have to come back the next day as they are already full. I was very disappointed with the service. The manager said it will be quick adjustment and only less than 30 min. I came back and Talk to Dale. He didn’t say nothing but β€œok” so I asked. how long will it takes as I only took my 30 min break to take it back to Midas. Then I was told it will take an hour and depends as they are very busy. While I was still talking to Dale (manager) he was walking out the door, isn’t that rude? Where is the manners and customer care? This alignment should have done correctly and professionally at the beginning. This caused me inconvenience and more money for not getting back to work on time as they said it will be a quick adjustment. Maybe customers should also charge them for inconvenience as quickly as they sell their service. Even if it’s far and out of my way, I will go to Midas Burnaby branch. The managers and Staff there are way much friendlier than Kingsway and Victoria Branch. I know that anything can happen and selling products and service at the mechanic shops are normal but being professional and showing customer care as well as proper communication with customer will make a big positive impact to the customers and it will make them feel good even if they just spent a lot of money for a simple repairs. To the franchises owner of Midas at this location. First of all, thank you for responding to my review. I just want to let you know that I have spent thousands of dollars getting my car and other car of my family fixed at Midas for years now. I have encountered good and bad services but I never wrote any negative comments on public and I am a person who doesn’t shows too much emotions when it comes to receiving bad public service. However, if I received an exceptional service, I personally expressed my appreciation and tell all my family and colleagues about my experiences because I believed that hearing from a customer personally about their experienced is better than exposing to public but once in awhile the public needs to know. Customer complains should be taken seriously and should be used for the advantage and advancement and improvements of the company. You mentioned that you provide β€œExcellent Customer Service”, am I right? May I asked you a couple of questions? How often do you visit your shop or you are only looking at your numbers $$$ ? As for providing β€œ Excellent Customer Service” don’t you think that your store manager should be reaching out to call back the customer(s) instead of you asking the customer to reach out or call the store? Would you be at the store or does the customer have to deal with the same staff? I have been in customer service for so many years and I am sure you as well among your employees. Maybe you can kindly asked your people to put themselves in their customers shoes and try to read their body language and how they communicate if this customer have loaded of money or maybe just leaving paycheque to pay cheques and maybe needed the car to fix one thing. Customer goes to small shop like Midas to save money instead of going to the dealership. This will be my last visit to midas.I am open to try other shops who can provide better customer care and I am positive that there are shops out there that can make customer happy as they leave their doors with smiles and satisfaction.

I am very happy with the Service. I talked to Dale about my Van situation and he act right away on it and even lend me his Battery pack to jump start my van to save money for towing. They replace my van with new battery and done quickly.

Wasnt sure what the wheel vibration was, brought my car in to have them check the brake for me. They could easily say something is wrong and fix it, they just told me it was fine. Dale even gave me a heads up about my dying clutch. No push for repair, I guess they have enough business to keep them busy.

I been dealing with Midas for years; I have had 4 vehicles over the years and Dale has been the man to take care of me each and everytime. The service I have received from these guys over the years is above and beyond my expectations. We have recently left Vancouver and moved to Nova Scotia where we hope that we will receive the same great service. Unfortunately our vehicle was involved in a severe accident in our move;everyone is fine but the suv was a write off. We hope to get a new one soon and continue to be a customer of Midas here in Dartmouth Nova Scotia . Thanks again for all the great and friendly service. All the best in the years to come. Thom Day

I can’t give them a complete fail because I didn’t even give them my business. I have just spent the last month searching for the ultimate tire deal keeping both quality and cost in mind. I have done some serious research and concluded that Midas does not deserve my business. Their scam-like β€œdiscounted promotional sale” prices are a joke. I have ZERO respect for a company that outright manipulates, plays and takes advantage of a consumer. In my search for tires, Midas comes across as a business I have ZERO respect for.

Worst service ever! Dale the General Manager is not up front about the services. I came in asking for an oil change and mentioned right away I needed a top up of my transmission fluid. The man tells me is a certain price and I pay for it right away. Doesn't even call me to tell me my car is ready and when I call to come pick it up he tells me there will be extra charge for the transmission fluid and for their time. The man has the audacity to tell me I never asked for the transmission fluid to be topped up. This shop's service is very weak. They do not listen to your needs they try to bill you and stuff you with more charges. I called a competitor to explain the situation and that competitor offered to top up my fluid for free. The competitor is called Mr. Lube. Don't get your car serviced at Midas they don't do what you ask or want.

I have been bringing my vintage sports car here for various services over the last 20 years. That in itself says a lot. Overall l can say the customer service is great and pricing is reasonable as they have always taken care good care of my car, particularly the last few years with the current manager (Dale) and his team. Specifically, always being upfront and explaining well what needed to be done for proper maintenance knowing the car was a keeper for me. And if there was a problem after the fact they would make it right.

Dale and his staff look after my 2017 GMC Canyon and keep ir maintained in tip top order. Really good people and reasonable pricing. Just got my rear brakes and rotors done on Thursday last week.
