Always clean, well organised, reasonably priced. A great local grocery store.

Metro Merivale is a perfectly fine local grocery store. I don't generally go there more than a couple of times a month because the Independents on Grant Carman at Meadowlands and in Billings Bridge Shopping Centre are just a smidgen more easy for me to get to by bus (and I have a PC points card) and, if I want most Metro store brand "Selection" products, I can also buy them at Food Basics, but this Metro does have things Food Basics doesn't, like the usual in-store bakery and freshly cut cheese as well as a wider array of packaged goods. Another obvious difference between this Metro and most nearby supermarkets is that it's one of the few supermarkets in the area to carry beer, alcoholic cider, and wine, if you want to buy your food and adult beverages under the same roof but you find the College Square Loblaws a little too busy. (Okay, Merivale Loblaws has the in-store Wine Rack concession for wine and Grower's cider, but I don't think they let you buy your Loblaws items at the Wine Rack counter if you only want to make a single transaction, though I admit I've never tried doing that so I don't know for sure.) The number one thing I like to buy at this particular Metro is quite honestly the Chef Boyardee Four Cheese Ravioli, which I cannot ever seem to find at any other supermarket in the eastern Nepean area. Yeah, that might seem like an unusual reason to go to a particular store, but the Four Cheese may be the greatest of all the Chef Boyardee Raviolis. Either that, or the Overstuffed Ravioli. A lot of supermarkets and many Walmarts only ever seem to have the Beef and Mini Raviolis in stock, but those are too darned sugary for my sophisticated adult tastes in canned pasta with meat in tomato sauce that I plop in a bowl and cook in the microwave.

Has some good selection but it's starting to run out of stock Is running out Of some of the basic stuff that you would get normally from the United States and Mexico And the prices are starting to spikeThough the people who work there are really nice and patients

Only reason it doesn't get five stars is because the door to exit on the right hand side opens way too slow. I'm a fast walker and I always have to stop and wait for the door to open. Kind of annoying.

I like Metro because it has a great variety of vegan options like cheeses, milks, egg replacements. Has a good variety of organic foods and other things that I cannot get at other supermarkets. I like that it has a self checkout area where I don't typically have to wait long in line. I can typically get in and out of their fairly quickly.

Pretty decent location. They have good sales and their produce is usually in really good shape (good quality). The staff here is a bit hard to deal with, I find anyway

I'm not one to complain and I usually give a 5 Star Rating but I must say this. It never has all I need. I also waited at Customer Service once to buy lotto tickets which also used the same associate for the Express Lane. She served 5 customers in a row and talked to a Manger both seeing I was there waiting and I was never served. I ended up leaving. I tried to avoid this store as my experience is ususal not a positive one.
