Bought a new grass trimmer. After 3 hrs I called store back (bayview) to inform them it wouldnt start. was told to take it to another location in north end. I asked for a refund and was told no refunds on anything once its left store. I wasnt shown how to start it nor was it ever tested out in front of me. I was send on my way with a $200 broken grass trimmer and 3 litres of pre mix. Asked for a bag and told they had none. Very very poor store policy for no returns, thats flea market stuff. Asked to drive it to the other side of Barrie so someone can look at it (3 hrs old) is a disgrace and a smack in the face. Extremely unhappy. Will likely have to bring it to a reputable repair shop that stands behind their products and service. Shame on you Mercer Equipement.

Purchased a Stihl chainsaw today and I have to say that the girl working was very helpful and informative. Tried the saw when I got home and it was better than I expected. Will continue to buy my yard care items from them. Thank you.

Nice selection of Stihl products but not the best customer service and first impression experience at this south location. I called in hours in advance putting a deposit on this saw to hold it until I could come get it, when I arrived the one guy that works there (Dave) was unfortunately not knowledgeable about the product he was selling and coming from an experienced guy in chainsaws I know he was just trying to keep the conversation alive without showing his inexperience. The store is clean and has a new fresh interior but when I’m spending over $1-k on a chainsaw I expect to have a knowledgeable professional sales person that’s going to handle the sale without me asking for my warranty card and adjustment tool, warranty paperwork etc. Things that should come naturally when selling any gas or electric power tool in this store.

I drove an hour to get to the dealership and they sold me the wrong attachments for my trimmer that did not work with my trimmer. When I asked for a refund the next day after driving another hour one way they sent me to their other location which is 15 min away to speak to the manager about the refund. Finally got a refund with no apologies what so ever. I will not return for anything in the future terrible service.

I called to inquire about a chainsaw. They asked me questions related to the daily use of the tool, then proceeded to educate me on the differences within the chainsaws. Thanks for the great experience Jessica. You helped me buy the appropriate gift for my friend. He's very happy with his gift!

The lady behind the counter was very knowledgeable and shared some good tips I never would have thought of, and I expected my bill to be double the price it was for the stuff I bought. I'll definitely be back!

The staff at Mercer are always helpful and friendly! They take the time to ensure they find out the correct answers to your questions rather than rushing you through with incorrect parts or information. I have purchased multiple items from them including a professional series chainsaw. As an arborist I am glad to have found Mercer in town and have received great service from a local dealer, will definitely return for my future purchases.
