Poutines and Fries
We use Kennebec potatoes for our fries. Why? We’ll try not to get too food science-y on you, but Kennebec potatoes have firm and low moisture flesh so they won’t become limp and soggy when fried. And with just the right amount of starchiness, they brown up beautifully with an exceptional flavor that is both warm and nutty. TMI? OK, they’re the perfect potato for crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. Using anything but real Quebec cheese curds for our Poutines is simply not going to happen. And when they’re covered in our signature Meltwich gravy, there’s a reason it’s one of our best-selling items.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have to say that this is my absolute favorite restaurant because I seem to enjoy the food here every week (Smokey Banquet Burger, Spicy Nashville Chicken burger & Poutine, Philly cheesesteak…). I really enjoyed meals here and the prices were reasonable with my expectation about the quality of foods! Aw, I will continue to visit <3

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Got the Monday meal deal they have, which includes a drink. Food was good, but they only allow you a can for the drink, yet they mostly stock bottles. Had only 3 options and none I liked.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've been to Meltwich twice now. The staff are super friendly and helpful, and my food came out quickly even when the store seemed somewhat busy. The food is okay - I mean, it's deep fried and/or full of cheese, it's going to taste good. My issue is that I was served real chicken instead of the plant-based "chick'n." I ordered a chick'n sandwich using air quotes and then pointing at the plant based menu, maybe it's my fault for not checking carefully enough but I didn't realize there was a sandwich with real meat and the exact same name. I realized after the first bite that my sandwich definitely had real chicken on it (no, it's not just really good fake meat). I didn't get the receipt so I don't know how it was rung in, but I just wanted to mention the issue - if you're ordering something plant-based, double check your order!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The music, the lighting, the overall vibe when eating here with friends. I just love it! It's just one of those relaxing (as compared to McDonald's) fast-food restaurants. Pricing of food is very reasonable. They make sure you get your food hot and ready to your expectations.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I found this place on SkipTheDishes. The food looked and sounded amazing the way they presented it. I can honestly say this is the first time the food and milkshake tasted as well as it was described. I would highly recommend this restaurant. Now I want to go eat in.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 5 Star all the way. Nick the owner is a great guy who cares about his customers and trays them great. His sidekick ‘Sam’ is learning the bus from him and will do great. Food is so good. Check it out .. you won’t be disappointed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Last few times here have been super good, but today... not so much. Until today I'd have said "great food, great value" but today it's only "reasonably good food, okay value". Seems like maybe food costs are eating into the value given customers. "Price is only a concern in the absence of value" and I'd rather pay more for the quality I used to get, because lower quality is never worth coming back for. I guess it's time to start looking for another place with "great food, great value".
