i	im_the_nutmeg on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ When we went in, in a group of 4, they claimed we had to buy 2 sets of Sheesha on top of the drinks we ordered. We asked why and they said it was because they were busy. I went around to a few other tables and asked if they were given the same ultimatum, I spoke with several people who claimed they were regulars and have never been told anything about any required spend to be in the bar. After we pushed back about it, they said we could stay if we bought 1 Sheesha with our drinks and an order of $9 fries. We said fine (it was late and not many places were open. We wanted to wait until Ubers were cheaper to get home but it was cold outside). The only reason they got 2 stars and not 1 was their milkshakes were very very good. But we won't be back, who makes arbitrary rules to force people to spend more to stay?? Especially when multiple other tables said they did not get the same treatment

Our group of friends decided to visit Medina Cafe and were presented with the utter most unprofessionalism/terrible service. We arrived at the restaurant roughly around 4pm and were told the kitchen was out of order until 5pm. Upon consideration we decided to wait it out till 5pm, only to be told at 5 that the kitchen grill had some issues and therefore food service could not be provided. Additionally, a staff member taunted us for not ordering Sheesha. It was very disrespectful. I would suggest saving your pockets, time and excitement for a better restaurant. Completely unacceptable and we do not intend to go there again.
M	May Journeys on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Never go here. The woman that works reception is super nice and most waiters are decent. BUT, the owner of this location is HORRIBLE. I have literally spent over $400 a month here, and she shamelessly yelled at me because I had my legs casually resting on my date. Not suggestively. Literally was wearing full pants and sneakers. She SHAMED me in front of everyone. Very rude and then got her husband to do the same. DO NOT SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS THERE IS BETTER RUN HOOKAH BARS IN CALGARY!! Again, especially if you stand for women rights and empowerment don’t support this place.

K	Kristy Chen on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Review not based on food. We only went for shiesha and tea. The shiesha flavour was decent. The atmosphere and ambience was really nice and it was a cool place to chill for a while. They even offered decks of cards for us to use. Would definitely come back again.

It was hot and just a bit sweet and you can taste the strength of the tea. You'll like this place, give it a try! Mahdi and another brother, who's name I asked twice and still don't remember, helped us and were both hardworking at your satisfaction. Great work gang!
