โ โ โ โ โ A very good and popular spot especially when it comes to late night dining. Items are a bit cheaper so people usually come after 830. The quality of the food is great for the price points but donโt expect anything super fancy. Fantastic place with friends for some casual sushi dining!

โ โ โ โ โ Covid protocol in place. The best Japanese food in Richmond. They only open at 5.00 p.m but so worth the wait for dinner. Parking a bit of a problem though. They do take table reservations and do take out. Short walk from bus route and Lansdowne Skytrain.

โ โ โ โ โ Their late night specials (9pm) are decent. Nothing fancy. Nothing that causes you to go WOW. I find their late night special pricing is reflective of the quality of food. If you're hungry and want some filling food then this is the place for you. Be warn that parking can be brutal and the restaurant does get busy for their late night specials.

โ โ โ โ โ Had a friend talk up a BIG game for this place so we had to come check out the late night special.
Pro - Everything was fresh and hot
Pro - Prices are good (late night anyways)
Mid - Taste is mediocre
Mid - Katsu was hot, but the taste could use some work
Mid - Karaage was hot but it tasted more like Churches than Kaarage
Mid - Tofu, again it was hot but the flavour was mid
Mid - Sushi is passable but for late night/AYCE I've had better for the same price (granted I have no clue if those places are still in business after covid)
Bad - Vegetable tempura is huge, the batter to vegetable ratio is way off. I don't know why the decision to prepare it like that was made but I would avoid it entirely
Bad - Sashimi was too thick, just give me the same amount in thinner slices. Didnโt taste great and it was also the first time I had a bunch of connective tissue in my sashimi.
TLDR its just pure mid, I think theres a certain bar that makes it worth it to eat out and this doesnโt quite reach that for me. If you just want something cheap/a big meal, or have forgiving taste buds Iโm sure it would do fine as long as your expectations arenโt too high.

โ โ โ โ โ Been coming to Matsuyama for ages now, they've become the go to place after practice or team sporting events as they have a late night menu.
Food here is pretty consistent and good quality! They're quite fast in making each order and getting it to your table. Speaking of tables, they are quite COVID-19 friendly and have all their patrons spread apart safely, putting customers at ease when dining in.
Only thing is...their late night menu prices are the same as the regular menu items at Sushi Lovers, making one feel like they're not saving a lot in the long run. ?

โ โ โ โ โ The good old stomping ground. Late night sushi at 9pm at a steep discount but the quality is still up there. In fact, 10 years ago the food still taste just as expected. Even some of the staff working there are still the same. What a legendary place, withstanding the test of time and pandemic.
