Mastermind Toys

Curbside pickup was such a smooth process! I ordered a few items for my daughter’s birthday and didn’t know they offered free gift wrapping for members. They were closing when I got there and the lady offered to register me as a member and wrapped my items super last minute! This is so highly appreciated! Thank you so much!

Not a big store but has a good selection of toys and is usually not too crowded.

Good selection of toys for fun & education. Very friendly & helpful staff at PTC location. Like the bday "freebie" offer for registered kids when you join their mailing list, it's a small token/gesture and it's really appreciated.

My husband and my 5 year old son tried to return an air hockey toy valued at $79.09 for a refund since we saw this at Indigo for $30 for the boxing week sale, asked if a price match can be done and was told NO Manager at the Pickering location declined to do the refund accusing my husband in front of our 5 year old son this item was already opened and tells my husband “We have to do this right” … so to prove her point.. She then unseals two other BRAND NEW SEALED stock to show how the contents are sealed and packaged.. (at this point I’m wondering - why do that, when your going to tape it up again and re-sell the stock to another customer looking like it was already opened and then risk being in the same situation if another customer decides to return it and you accuse them it was already “opened”. ) We literally got the item days before Christmas Eve and even got it gift wrapped so we wouldn’t have opened the item and we did not inspect the product either when we bought it … and why should we when you expect your buying unopened items when you leave Mastermind.. unfortunately not from for this location.. We did not open the box and the contents inside remain intact, it’s highly suspect this location is re- selling open box items without telling the customer since the manager freely opened up two brand new factory sealed stock in front of us just so she can prove her point.. and then what? So you can put the stock back on the shelf and accuse another unknowing customer they bought an already opened product before even leaving the premises? And decline refunds ??! It was extremely unfair how this was handled especially in front of a 5 year old kid during Christmas, 1.) you refuse to do a price match and would rather see losing a customer and buy from the competitor 2.) you refuse to do a refund offering a store credit instead for an item with already open packaging (by you) with the contents still in tact! complete turn off and reflects poorly on the community. We usually shop at the Yonge and Lawrence location and this never happened to us before (now we know it’s worth driving there next time)… I guess there’s a first for everything… cmon’ DO BETTER MASTERMIND! Ps. My husband left a voicemail to whatever contact number you gave him- can someone please get back to him please!

I was thoroughly impressed with the customer service at this location. its probably the best customer service i have ever experienced the associate that helped me was named karen and she went above and beyound to help me pick aa few easter presents for my nephew i gighly reccomend this store and will for sure go back in the future

My most favorite place in the mall, the toy shop of course. The store is well organized and is always stocked with a wide variety of games. What I especially love about Mastermind is the mind bending toys and old style board games. One of the last few places one can find science focused toys. They also have a decent collection of books and some high end electronic gadgets. Overall a very nice store with helpful and friendly staff.

Amazing store and great selection! They got everything you will needs for your kids. But they are not the cheapest, be sure to compare the price with other stores. They have train tables for the kids to play in the store. The staff is very friendly and helpful! Newly renovated Thomas Train Table!
