J	Jason barlow on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beware!!!!! Our group of 4 stayed at the Martin River Lodge and what a mistake! Apart from being very expensive the new owner Peter was rude and disrespectful and on the last day when we were checking he's wanted to charge us $400 for 2 brand new props!!!!! Well Im sorry but there is an expected amount of wear any time someone rents "Car, boat, chainsaw... whatever" the props were still in 99.99% operating condition your going to continue using the 2 props and pocket the $400!!!
E	Elli Mick on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The grounds and lodge are both lovely, and the new co owner Tania and daughter Megan were excellent, but the new second co owner Peter was hostile to our group, and on two separate occasions. His hostility made the whole experience very uncomfortable. We would never return to this Lodge.

M	Myrna Sweet on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Travel has been very difficult these past two years with Covid, so we decided that we would stay close to home and explorer Northern Ontario. We were looking for a good area for photography with great accommodations, amenities, and onsite dining. We found it all, plus some, at the Marten River Lodge with hosts Peter and Tania. We stayed in a cozy log cabin, that they had ready for us, down to having the fireplace and lights on. Because we didn't want to drag food, and bedding, we opted for the American Plan. With all the health and safety precautions, we were unable to each in the dining room, so our meals were promptly served at a set time in our cabins. The meals were top notch, and I would recommend choosing the American Plan vs cooking on your own. But if you were wanting to do the latter, they had a BBQ at each cabin, stove/oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, and even a large bonfires in the evening for smores and hotdogs! Now neither Rosemarie nor I know how the run a boat but Peter personally took us out on the river for photography. For fun we also took the optional ATV tour. Now this was a MUST!!! They are truly dog friendly and my little Westie loved being on the boat and ATV. The whole site was well maintained. Would I recommend the Marten River Lodge? Absolutely! Would I go again? You bet!

m	mike smouter on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing place to stay. Cant say enough good things about it, and nothing negative to say.The owners go above and beyond to make sure that your stay is perfect. Good food, comfortable beds and clean cottages. Loved every minute here. Very accommodating to our 5 young kids. Definitely home away from home and can't wait to go back.
C	Chris Gatt on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Place was simply amazing. Owners we super great. Very helpful. Cabins were all clean. They even come and start a bonfire for you. Fishing was a bit slow but we did enjoy our stay there and recommend it to anyone. Oh. The boats were mint!!! New seats. Unlimited gas and bait. No hidden fees too. Give them a call and you will not be disappointed.
S	Sarah Davis on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Such an awesome time. We celebrated a friend's birthday and the owners were amazing at accommodating us. One of the staff even made a birthday cake for us. The fishing was great too, friendly guides and the shore lunch was definitely a unique experience. Highly recommend.
