Beautiful place, great scenery a hidden gem. Well marked off the road. Gravel road but there are a couple spots to pull off to let others pass.

Stayed at Hidden Cove some time ago but looking through photos of raccoons on the veranda and black bears in the garden reminded me of what an amazing place this really is. Great accommodation and food, escapism and wonderful wildlife - just magical.

One of the best places I have ever stayed. Quiet, off grid in every way. The owner and his staff are all incredibly friendly and professional. We were sitting eating dinner and a of of transient orcas swam by a couple of hundred yards off the shore.

This place is a hidden gem just outside of Telegraph Cove. Dan really seems to care for his guests and takes time to talk to everyone. The lodge is very clean and well kept both inside and out ....and we even had a visit from a bear! The food was hotel priced, but felt more like a home cooked meal. The wine and beer were very reasonably priced. I highly recommend!

The owners and staff are friendly without flaw - Karen in particular went above and beyond throughout my stay, helping me find a charger for my phone after it died out on Orca camp, and getting me an alarm clock so I didn't miss my day trip to see bears the next morning! I stayed in a room within the main lodge. The rooms are clean, well kept, quiet and scenic, with beautiful views out across the cove to the ocean. With some local black bears around, this is a hidden gem if you want to stay close to Telegraph Cove - especially if you are heading out whale watching (I went out with Orca Dreams and stayed on their camp which I can't recommend highly enough). Telegraph Cove accommodation seemed busy and pricey, the cabins and houses on the main walkway around the marina looked great and are well located for trips but book up early). I had read reviews so contacted Hidden Cove Lodge and thankfully they had space available and booked me in. I'm so glad I stayed here! After returning from Orca camp I stayed one night at Hidden Cove, and arranged to go out on a day trip with Tide Rip Grizzley tours to see bears the next morning. What a wonderful experience. We saw a mum & cub, and a mum with 2 sons almost fully grown, foraging on rocks on the shoreline for berries and mussels. Shortly after being picked up from the Lodge jetty we saw humpbacks en route to the main area known for bear watching, and encountered dolphins, and seals on our way back. So much in one day! The guys were great and picked me up from Hidden Cove's jetty, dropping me back there in the evening. I spent another lovely evening at Hidden Cove Lodge in the peace and quiet, and enjoyed a lovely meal with super wine. It was only a short stay of 2 nights, but I cannot recommend Hidden Cove Lodge enough - a true hidden gem if ever there was one!

This is one of these places I’d like to keep hidden for fear of too many people but I believe the owner could use the business. Next door (cove) to the famous Telegraph Cove, this hidden gem was peaceful and quiet and everything we wanted for a few days as we explored the area. We joked we ordered the β€œwildlife” package as we were greeted with deer and a humpback whale at check in. Over the next few days we saw a brown bear, a fawn, eagles and other wildlife. We stayed in the new oceanfront suites with a king bed and it was perfect. Fresh ocean air, the sound of the waves and a whale exhaling air in the early morning could all be heard from our deck. We received muffins and fruit in the morning with a gently knock on the door but other than that, our host left us alone to explore the property. We hope to be back next year!!!!

A manageable drive down a well-maintained logging road led us to the Lodge. We met Sandra who gave us our key and directed us to a separate building down on the water. When we unlocked the door, we were shocked to find ourselves inside a sparkling new, large suite with an incredible view of the Johnstone Strait. We immediately poured ourselves a drink and sat out on our balcony, listening to the waves breaking on the shore and watching the various boats go by. It honestly felt like someone had transported a modern hotel room from the city to the middle of nowhere. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Telegraph Cove or the nearby area.

We booked 2 nights in July 2021 based on reviews we hadn't realized were a decade old and charming photos on the web site. No mention of a 4k drive in on badly corduroyed road. The lodge, cabins and "dock" were derelict and we advised the proprietor that we could not stay. Although there were no other guests she charged us $250 deposit. This place gets zero stars.
