W	Will Reiher on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great first experience. This place was hopping on Sunday around noon. Glad to add another brunch option outside of downtown. Flavours are great and food came out super fast. Heard that their license is coming and more patio seats are arriving next week. I'll definitely be back for a sunny brunch on the patio with a beverage.

a	alber stell on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you're going to charge $9 for a slice of toast with avocado, it has to be perfect. Marta's avo tartine was underwhelming. The sumac on its own is not citrus-y enough to brighten up the richness of the avo. It is screaming out for more acid (fresh lemon juice) and much more salt. My avo tartine was dull and under-seasoned. I make better avo toast here at home and I'm not a trained chef. But the most disappointing meal I've had here was the crispy artichoke sandwich. We came on a Sunday and the ciabatta bun was stale and WAY too bready. The sandwich itself was 90% bun, 10% filling. The bun to filling ratio in a sandwich is super important, and it's part of good sandwich-making 101. I'm assuming the buns are not made in-house, and they definitely weren't made fresh on that Sunday, regardless where they're made. If you aren't serving bread that was made same day, you should be freezing it, then unthawing and toasting it on the day it's being served. Worse than being stale though, the bread wasn't even toasted. At all. Not one bit. If you're going to serve stale bread, at least bring it back to life and lightly toast it. But that bun is a wrong choice altogether, and way too bready... I had to remove the top of the bun because it was so awful. The artichokes weren't crispy, either. But honestly it's the stale bread that ruins the sandwich. I also got a flat white which was super watery. The coffee needs work.

For over $15 it was definitely not worth it and super disappointing. Would be much better if they used fresh and good quality bread especially focaccia bread. The grain bowl was also overpriced for what it is as it is mostly green salad and little vegetables or even grains. Seems like very little care has gone into their food.

R	RCL on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Out for a ride - I had heard of Marta on Moosemeat & Marmalade and went for a late lunch. The Spicy Eggs & Toast I had was excellent. Eggs poached just right, very interesting flavours, very good presentation, toast was very good, nicely buttery with distinct light charred flavour, tomatoes still on the vine and also nicely grilled. Will be back to try more. It is going to be one of my go to's for meals. Clear, pleasant interior. Friendly staff.

The environment is so welcoming right from the start, it feels very calming walking through the door. I had the smoky yam and carrot soup, a Reuben, and a vanilla bean iced latte. It was soooooo good! Toasty bread, warm and cozy soup, and yummy iced vanilla flavoured caffeine to cool down from a warm spring day. Such a good job Marta, I’ll be coming back again and again!
