Aside from a few glitches beyond anyone's control, the 2019 racing season has begun and coming to this track is a pleasure. My meeting with the stewards was great - they are knowledgeable and efficient; able to answer all my questions.

Found my overall experience less than desired. Waiting time between races was lengthy. Food although a wide variety was available was less than 1 star. I ordered a veggie burger. Fine I can wait for it to be cooked. Got to watch the process. Left without my food. The 'cook' watered the patty, left it under cover then flipped it before proceeding to stab it half a dozen times.

This is a fun place to go if you like thoroughbred horse races, which I do. The place isn't in the best shape, but there's nothing really wrong with it. Parking is tough, but it's not that far of a walk if you can't get real close. Races are spaced 25 minutes apart, which gives you enough time to watch the horses in the paddock, then go to make a bet. At $2 every 25 minutes, it'll take me forever to go broke! Lots of fun watching the races, it's very exciting. Pro tip: bet on the grey horse. Or is it, never bet on the grey horse??? I can never remember. Either way, it's a fun evening!

This last weekend was the first time I've been to the track. It was good but there are a few things that need updating. Inside is a bit like a dungeon and the washrooms were incredibly dirty. However, the drinks were delicious and the lady who took our bids was absolutely fantastic.

Great service and a wonderful way to watch the horse races. Included in the all you can eat buffet and endless coffe/ tea/ pop, is being able to make bets at your table in the comfort of the Terrace Restaurant and not waiting in lineups. We really enjoyed our evening!!!

If you want to have a great time with friends, go to the horse track. You don't need to spend lots of money, but if you want, spend away. I have gone here many of times with my brothers. I usually only spend 20 bucks for the entire evening betting 2 or so dollars on each race. Even spending so little you get so engaged in the races. Gets you excited and feels so good when you win. As soon as you enter, you have to pay 2 dollars, I believe, for admission. And right at the gate you can get a program for that night as well. Very easy to make your bets, and get drinks. They also have a restaurant that you can eat while watching the races and someone will come to you every race to take your bets for the next race. The food may be a bit pricey but well worth it. May as well make a full evening and enjoy the races for your night out. They also have concession stands set up and you can get pulled pork sandwiches or a burger. Lots of seating area inside or outside.

Fun place to spend an evening. There is no age limit so one can bring the kids who get very excited to watch the horses too. UPDATE: As of 2021 there is no longer horse racing at this venue!
