About Marlborough Shoe Repair
Sam Alain came to Canada alone 48 years ago as an 18 year old who couldn’t speak English. A second generation cobbler, Sam dreamed of opening his own store, and worked three jobs to save up enough money.
Now, after decades of running his successful shop, his sons have taken over the family business, continuing the lost trade as third generation cobblers.
“We learned from him. He has been very successful and we figured that if we follow in his footsteps we would be the same way,” says Sam Jr.
Sam Jr and Danny Alain know the value of taking care of your feet and the planet, and want to make sure the art of cobbling is practiced for generations to come.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had a pair of Redwing boots repaired where the side stitching was coming out. They had my boots ready to pickup in a couple days and they applied dubbin to condition them. They look so much better and the repair work is very well done, I am quite satisfied with the service I received from the very friendly gentleman at the counter. I would recommend anyone looking for leather work or alterations to contact them, they have some nice looking work boots and leather footwear for sale as well.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Seems like a great place to get your shoes fixed. The repair I saw was pretty basic, and was priced well in my opinion. The shop is hidden in the good court, so make sure you know where to look for it, and bring cash with you because they have signs up for cash transactions.
The staff seemed friendly and helpful, and willing to provide options for repair and follow-up if necessary.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Terrible. Brought carry on bag in for a zipper repair. They replaced 2 zipper handles - one of which never gets used nor was asked to be replaced. The zipper they said theyd replace...is still the same old zipper!!! Or maybe replaced with another used old worn out zipper. So basically what I got was 2 zipper handles for $38 and change. Wont be back ever.
