Yes, I completely agree with Ashik Islam. We had an almost identical situation. The same thing happened with us in the end of June 2015. Would not recommend anyone to go there. More like a robber in a white coat than a doctor...Be very very careful. Overall, most terrible and unnecessarily expensive experience. Such dishonest practice.

Our family has been going here for years and are extremely satisfied. Originally it was Dr. Nowak who was excellent, who then retired, and then Dr. D. Wong who had also been excellent.

Emillie is one of the most uncaring doctors I've ever met. When my father passed away we couldn't get the funeral home in Markham to accommodate so we went with a funeral home in Scarborough. When she found out she asked who would be picking the death certificate up because she didn't want to drive to Scarborough. Yes, a person passed away and all she could care about was her being inconvenienced for driving five extra minutes south. Ridiculous. Edit: To reply. She told the nurse Scarborough was too far. Have the family pick it up themselves. We live on Steeles, the funeral house is on Sheppard. Doing some more reading it is now evident to me that it was her responsibility to have it delivered. Please read below. If Emillie is that busy then maybe she should have a courier on call. There is no such thing as being busy. Everything in life is about priorities, that day she didn't make our family one. Since January 2011, an agreement between the Coroner’s Office and the Ontario Funeral Home Association allows the coroner to direct transfer of the deceased to a funeral home of the family’s choice prior to certification. The Coroner’s expectation, then, is that the family doctor will attend at the funeral home within 24 hours to sign the medical certificate of death.

Dr. Jang is always so helpful and my appointments are quick! Staff are friendly too, and thry fit me in super fast. I've neved had to wait long at his practice. His bedside manner is great, and he's fantastic at pinpointing concerns. I couldn't have asked for a better family physician!

Was literally called a drug addict here by Dr. Dennis Wong who used my past with another group of meds against me. I asked for a CT scan and 5 pills of the weakest prescription opioids for my intense period pains and reoccurring headaches the last 3 years .I showed Dr. Dennis Wong a list of 13 medications I've tried that were ineffective and that i was moving out in 2 days and my family doctor being unavailable for 2 weeks. He refused both the ct scan and the medication and told me to wait for my family doctor. How helpful!

Be aware of the travel clinic doctor and service in this location. They will rip you off. We went there to get some shots for the family, I asked the doctor repeatedly to tell me the cost before the travel shots. He said he will let me know the detail soon. But he did not and mixed all the shots and told me he cannot take those shots back because he mixed them already. They ended up charging me close to 1000. The doctor also said that these vaccine are covered by drug plan. I called my drug plan next day, they said none of these are covered. Very dishonest practice and they are very reluctant to let you know the price. Be careful.

Dr. Monica Dai is the MOST uninvolved, detached and apathetic doctor I've ever seen in my life. I have zero confidence she has my best interest at heart or even genuinely cares about any my health concerns. I want to clarify that I am not writing this review after one bad experience but multiple (5-6) occasions where I have been left either completely in the dark about what I came in for or I'm leaving my appointment in distress. In the short of things: -one appointment I verbalized to her that "I feel you aren't answering my questions and I am still very confused and nervous" and she said "nope, told you everything" and sent me home BAWLING. I would be shocked if the secretaries say they do not remember this and I also brought someone to my appointment who was shocked at her behaviour. She never followed up. -left a urgent/emergency call for her regarding a time sensitive issue she knew about, never called me back. never followed up. -wouldn't prescribe me any medications after letting her know i was depressed and suicidal. told me to wait 2 weeks and again never followed up (this was a couple months ago) -said she would send down bloodwork to the lab (which is literally 2 floors down) and never did, wasted my time because there was no paperwork and once again no follow up -told my grandfather (another patient of hers) straight to his face "you know you have cancer right?!" before he ever got an official diagnosis. I can keep going if necessary.. This woman is dangerous with the lack of effort and empathy she displays and I would highly advise against choosing her to be your family doctor. Dr. Vanderberg was old fashioned in her work but atleast I felt she cared about my general well-being. I can say that Monica Dai, very obviously does not.

Our family used to go to Dr. M Nowak who was awesome, for many years. He carefully selected and trained Dr D. Wong. We have found Dr Wong to be extremely helpful, detailed, excellent bedside manner, and strong diagnostic skills. We feel that Dr Nowak made a commendable choice.
