What an AMAZING team! We felt so apprehensive about placing our dear mother in residence… Only the danger she represented for herself made us decide to make this decision! At the Manor, she found a new family; loving, attentive to all her needs and exceptionally gentle and empathetic! All very human (Delhia, Joël, Geneviève, Lorraine, Tracy … the list is long and, finally, Annie, the director of this wonderful team) – ALL very professional, all efficient and as many guardians attentive to our demanding requests and happiness From mom. They have all become his friends and our friends! At the Manoir de l'Acadie, she found her second "home"... We can only warmly thank the Manoir de l'Acadie team with all our hearts.

I would not recommend this place. I placed my Mom with dementia here for a 1 month trial to see how it would go, and after she fell twice in 2 weeks , I was told by Joel Huard, the head nurse, that if she fell a third time, she could not return back to the residence. So what was I supposed to do? Take a chance that if she would fall again , she would have nowhere to go but the hospital? We all know that hospitals do not offer assisted living or caregiver services such as in a residence. Where was I going to place her? This place did not offer any additional assistance or propose any other solution to ensure her safety during the trial period or up until such time as I could find a more appropriate residence., and I was prepared to pay extra for additional supervision services .........but instead I was given an ultimatum. I was placed in the stressfull situation of having to find another residence quickly in the event she would fall again.

Not a good place for our elders when the direction cares more about the bottom line than about the needs of the vulnerable elders in their care. Underpaid staff results in not only lack of personnel but also unmotivated and not helpful staff. No notes of incidents in resident’s record nor access to basic necessities such as iced water during the heat of summer or soap during COVID. Also, no clear mechanism for feedback/complaints. Managed by Groupe Immobilier Globale who has 5-6 residences for older adults.

Hi I would not recommend this place to nobody in the beginning I thought it was good but through the weeks and months I found out the meals are not good the help is not there when somebody doesn't like their food they just leave the person hungry they don't even offer them a sandwich which is included in the monthly pay that you pay over $1,300 a month the nurses are zero they are no help at all when you ask for their help they will tell you yes and they will turn around do nothing all I asked was if my mother is not eating just let me know so I can get her food what they do they don't let you know that she is not eating they leave her hungry it's incredible right now I am looking for a new place for her to move out
