My experience:I will be very detail as I may be saving a small business the headache I faced. 19th Aug 2020, I called for a quote from got a quote for $134.xx pickup/drop-off in Ontario( First time business with Manitoulin) Next day, I got a call I will be paying $850! for the same order I got a quote for $134!( OMG) I freaked-out!!"who wouldn't. They mentioned they could not trace the call, as staff was working from home and no proof of the pre-pick-up quote, the already gave me a pickup order quote so I thought the quote she gave me must have been coded under the booking number! **I was disappointed** She didn't update the system. I was given a discount from $850- $378!. ** all I wanted was my initial conversation rate quote to be honored but it wasn't. A lady Kara in the T/Bay office was helpful in seeking a resolution but $378 is still more than my initial quote of $134. b(sad) but better than $850. No, I will not be considering them for future business because this is 1 frustrating first-time experience with Manitoulin. UPDATE::: I got a call from Manitoulin today 31 August 2020, and I must say they listened to my concerns and I understood their Business practices better. It's an experience to have a displeasing service from a Company and it's another experience for the Company to work towards resolving this issue with the customer. ** I paid the $378.28 Aug 20th, 2020 and today, they agreed to honor the pre-pickup quote. I will certainly update this review when they refund and When this is finally resolved, I will give Manitoulin a trial again. 2update: Issue was resolved and I’m impressed. They certainly value their customers

I recently imported equipment for a customer. After getting a couple of good quotes from Manitoulin, and after I was told that there was daily service from Winnipeg to Thunder Bay, I set up the pickup time and paid what I owed. My package has now been sitting in a warehouse for days in Winnipeg, for no apparent reason. I'm being charged 60 dollars a day because Manitoulin was unable to hold up their end of the deal. Now I can't get any answers out of any employees at Manitoulin, and 2 support emails have gone unanswered for over 24 hours. I feel like the microsecond that I paid Manitoulin, they stopped caring about me. This is Manitoulin's first mistake with me, so they have a chance to correct it, and I may change my review. If you're an executive or upper management at another company would like more information about my review so that you can make informed logistical decisions, feel free to send me an email, (alex at tbay dot tk). Update: I spoke with the head of quality assurance and they have taken my concerns seriously. I believe in second chances, and upon further review I believe Manitoulin is a model Canadian company; they're like a big family. I will be using Manitoulin again in the future, and I really appreciate the time they've taken to talk to me. My current situation was resolved, less than optimally; however, I'm confident that Manitoulin will be a fantastic shipping partner for my business. I'll leave this review until I've shipped something else with Manitoulin. Changed from 1 to 4 stars.

By far the best option to ship or receive LTL freight in Thunder Bay ! They truly care about their customer service.
