About Mane & Layne Salon
In 2015, the stars aligned and the universe brought our founders, Jess & Katie, together. At the time they were both working at a fitness studio in Calgary and the friendship, and their love for country music, was a natural fit. Over the years, they have both been through all of the ups and downs life has to offer, but with each other by their sides. In 2020, Jess approached Katie with her idea & opportunity to open a different kind of salon in Airdrie and I guess you could say the rest is history. (well hopefully!)
Mane & Layne was created with a dream in mind, this being to support stylists in the pursuit of their skill and talent. Many traditional salons take a percentage of their stylist's earnings, we get it- it’s business, but at Mane & Layne, we believe there should be another way. Mane & Layne is a chair rental salon, allowing our stylists to dictate their own hours and clientele, while providing a state of the art facility and luxury retail offerings.
Each of our stylists bring with them unique skills and priceless knowledge. Collectively we can all grow together, but each of us is successful, independently.

I had a consult a couple days ago and it was my first time seeing the salon in person. It's gorgeous inside. I'm so happy for these gals. Can't wait for my next appointment

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Such a beautiful and clean salon, with incredibly friendly staff and stylists. Jessica was amazing and really took the time to listen to my needs and wants, and goals for my hair. I absolutely love what she did with my hair and felt the recommendations and advice she gave me for aftercare wasn’t only manageable and realistic, but affordable as well which is hard to come by with a lot of salons these days. 10/10 would recommend and I will absolutely be going back.

I can't say enough about Mane and Layne and the products Jessica suggested (R+Co High Dive and R+Co Two-Way Mirror) are incredible! Can't way to return to have my hair done at Mane and Layne by Jessica.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I would recommend Haleigh for anyone looking for extensions. I have been going to her since May 2021 and wouldn’t trust anyone else with my hair. She recognizes how much of an investment hair extensions are. She makes the extra effort to talk you through how to properly take care of your hair so it lasts as long as as possible. One of my extension pieces accidentally slipped and instead of charging me, she redid the whole install for free. I didn’t even ask, she offered because she wanted to make it right. Haleigh has such a natural gift to make you feel amazing and confident. She is in the right business and her passion shows through her work. She will get nothing but a glowing recommendation from me, she feels more like a friend than a hair stylist. She also has a very very cute cat.

In the past I’ve had terrible experiences with several hairstylists, and honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect when booking this appointment. All the positive reviews are what made me choose this place, and it did not disappoint! Jess was so friendly, professional, expert at her job! My husband told me it was my best hair yet! She took the time and did an amazing job with a blowout, very skilled! Honestly, my hair is no joke, very difficult to handle, thick and curly, and tons of it…but she made it seem effortless. Thank you so much! Highly recommend, just book it!

I love the colour and the cut and I would highly recommend Amanda to anyone. Her experience and knowledge are top shelf, and the results are excellent!
