The staff is very responsive Jackie Ellis always responds quickly and efficiently. As for place to work great balance of work to life. They actually care about the well being of their employees and now being a member of Associa, their employees will benefit. I would recommend them both as a place to work and also a rental management company.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Yorkwest, the company prior to the merger with Magnum, was the property manager for my brand new property in Calgary since 1993. The merger of Magnum and Yorkwest took place earlier this year and the company is part of the much larger company, which manages properties across Canada and the United States of America.
Twenty-eight years was a long time for a house to be under the management of one company. Over the years tenants were moving in and out, and the company managed to maintain occupancy over 95%. During the time I had the opportunity to work with several property manager associates, and they were all very professional and responsive. I am very impressed with the quality of the staff the company was able to hire and keep.
After my last tenants vacated the house two months ago, I decided finally to sell the house. Ginny Davis was the property manager, and I told her my wish and she was very supportive. Even though Ginny knew her efforts would make the company lose some business if the house was sold, she was still willing to go the extra mile to help me to liaise with the realtor to facilitate the property sales. Ginny inspected the property and gave me an assessment on the conditions and what needed to be done. She arranged a trusted contractor to fix up the place in good condition. I was pleasantly surprised that after 28 years of tenants occupancy, the house condition with some repair work, had turned out to be much better than I thought.
Totally unexpected, once the property was listed, it was sold in one day.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This company is an absolute joke because they never respond to phone calls, rarely return service tickets and it shows how little they know about property management for condo buildings due to the lack of security enforcement. I have been attempting to get in contact with them regarding 3 break and enters in our building located in Kensington and each time they ignore the request and provide no help to the police reports and myself in attempts to identify criminals and most importantly rectify the fact that the building is not secure. The entire lower level of the parkade and stairwell have no cameras and the thief's have key access to the stairwells which is why the thefts keep happening. I have reported this to the building manager and company every single time but no response. I will be walking into the company HQ this week to ensure that our condo security issue is rectified immedtiely. I welcome someone from the Calgary location of this company to reply and follow up with me.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Without a doubt, magnum York is the worst management company out there. If I could give a -10 star, I would. My building has had multiple issues and every single one of them has become a huge task for the owners to deal with. This company rarely ever responds to the public and when they do the staff is rude and ignorant. Customer service is such a joke. There is absolutely no urgency in their care- the staff is simply just their for their paycheck, nothing more. We’ve had to involve our builders on issues multiple times simply because our issues were not being rectified. (We’re a newer building). Anyone who is looking to hire them for a management company or even move into a building that they manage…. DON’T. Magnum York is the most pathetic company I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with.
