Luxury Nails

I'm posting this on my husbands google account. I wish I had read these reviews before I went here. UNBELIEVABLY HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! I went for a french shellac manicure. I was watching the TV and after 35 minutes I looked down to see the most hideous slopped on manicure. It was jaw dripping horrible. I understand a $35 manicure isn't always top notch but this was over the top bad. I said something and said that they just needed to take it off. If it wasn't shellac I would have just taken it off myself but I had to get them to take it off. The girl started to angrily sand it off and jammed the sanding tool into my skin. I jumped up because it hurt so the manager came over and removed the shellac. Then another lady came over and filed my nails down EVEN more and had a death grip on my hand. I kept saying I had to go because I needed to pick up my daughter and would she please let go of my hand - I literally tore my hand out of her grasp (I know it sounds dramatic but no exaggeration). They then yelled at me that I had to pay. They wanted the $21 manicure fee. I told them that my nails were in worse shape then when I arrived - they had sanded nails to get polish off twice. I realized why she had the death grip on my hand. She was trying to slop nail polish on to justify that I should pay for a manicure. So not wanting to make more of a scene I took out a $20 and THEY INSISTED I GIVE THEM THE EXTRA $1!!! I didn't even have polish on. I gave them the $1.00. and left. Truly one of the most unsettling experiences I've had. My nails were nicely long before I went in as well and they had filed them down to nothing. They actually intimidated me into paying for this. When I read other reviews about how the women all seemed angry and they yelled at other customers I felt a bit better. You always wonder if it was just you.I don't usually take the time to review places but this experience was over the top.

I went to Luxury Nails Dec 26th, while visiting Calgary, and the lady was very kind. But when I asked to have my nails done differently, said “that’s too hard”. I regularly do simple shellac designs in Vancouver with an extra charge of $5 (as its really not too difficult what I ask for). She said it would cost $20 extra, I then declined to have my nails done there. To which she dropped the price to $10 extra and I accepted. When she did my nails the lines were Very crooked and not clean, she lacquered over the tape she used for the shaping so the blue strip appeared on the red nail polish. My one nail chipped the day of the application as she hadn’t waited enough time between coats for everything to dry because another customer came in. One nail polish chip wasn’t too bad, but then the second day 3 more nails had the polish chip off, none of the ends of my nails were sealed and there was not enough time allotted so that the shellac could properly harden. I regularly get my nails done, but this was by far the worst experience I’ve had. Very poor workmanship. $60 wasted.

I went in for a pedicure while waiting for my daughter who was in a class a few stores down. I told the lady I only had 45 minutes. As soon as I sat down she went straight to work. Honestly one of the best pedicures I have ever had she was absolutely meticulous and finished right on 45 mins. It’s 5 days later and my toes still look great. I’ve read a bunch of the reviews which are surprising since I had a great experience and plan to go back. My charge was $32.

I do not recommend this nail salon. I asked for a shellac manicure and pedicure. My pedicure chipped in less than two hours and my manicure started chipping after two days. I am gentle with my nails and this is the worst quality I have ever received. Stay away from this train wreck.

Took my little 3 year old girl for just nail polish not even a manicure so just polish which was listed at $10 for adults and should be half price for children. Then lie to me and told me it was $26 total what an absolute rip off!!!!!!!!!! I would never ever go here save your money!!!!!! These women are liars and gougers. I have been to many places to have my nails done and never been so disappointed with the price.!!!!!

Came here to get my nails done for my wedding with my mom and mother-in- law. We made appointments for pedicures and manicures- which I would recommend doing. They prioritize appointments over walk-ins which is wonderful because they will turn people away when they are busy. Pros and cons to that, but it ensures they don't rush customers who have called ahead and the quality is consistent! Our nails were beautiful done and they even showed us what different polishes would look like as some would need several coats. I'll keep coming back to this place!

I have been a costumer here a few time only one lady knows how to do nails an do them well. When I went in for a fill the lady took over 2hr an had very shaky hands leaving my nails uneven crooked and full of bumps and a horrible paint job and I called to complain and came in to get them fixed the lady told me it was not her problem as she was not the lady who did them and all she could do was a colour change for me. I paid 95$ witch was a huge waste of money

I’ve been going to Nancy for my nails for over 5 months. This is a milestone for me!! I’ve never been to a salon that’s dedicated to return business like this one. Nancy is so friendly and inviting but more importantly EXTREMELY talented. I’ve got chubby hands and she always gives me the perfect shape so my hands look skinnier and longer. She I’ve got nothing but good things to say. The place is clean, well kept, organized, and super welcoming. Every manicure I’ve had done is stunning, I always get tons of compliments. Ive also had pedicures by Carly and shes wonderful. I love this place!!! Highly highly recommend. Please keep Nancy forever, she’s the reason I keep coming back.
