I had an unpleasant experience with one of this company's broker, named Nadine Mansur. Although I was very upset personally, I will suppress my emotion and write this review based on what I experienced (to be objective as possible). I was the buyer-side of a condo, and she was the seller-side's broker. At first, things seemed to go smoothly. Both the seller and the buyer signed the promise of purchase. However, two months after signing the promise of purchase, I had no choice but to nullify it because she did not cooperate on verifying whether I can occupy the property as written in the promise of purchase. My broker and I spent two months either waiting for her reply or asking for her cooperation, but at the end, it did not work out. Through this experience, I learned the importance of real estate brokers, not only on my side but also the other-side, to make the transaction go smoothly. There were three events that made me unpleasant. First, at the date of inspection, she showed up nearly one hour late from the appointment time, making the inspector and I wait in front of the door for around 45 minutes. Second, after the inspection, I signed it and my broker sent the document to her. To complete the promise of purchase, she was supposed to confirm it within the specified duration of time. However, she did not respond to our numerous calls asking her for confirmation. I had no choice but to use a Bailiff to directly send the document to the seller. Finally and most importantly, she did not cooperate on providing the most recent lease contract, a crucial information that verifies whether I can occupy the property at the time of deed of sale. Around one month after signing the promise of purchase and completing inspection, she informed my broker that the current tenants of the condo are refusing to leave. Honestly, this did not make much sense because I signed the promise of purchase around 8 months ahead of my occupancy. She had plenty of time to inform the tenants about this transaction and request them to leave. My broker and I asked ourselves, what have she been doing so far, not informing the tenants to leave? So, my broker requested her to provide the most recent lease contract (before that, she only provided one-year-ago lease contract) so that we could check whether the current tenants of the condo could properly leave at the time of deed of sale. However, she did not respond to our numerous text messages, phone calls, and emails. When she finally responded to our call, she either asked us to give more days to get response from the seller or she told us that she doesn't have a good answer. All my broker asked her to provide was the most recent lease contract, and we waited for nearly 3 weeks. Almost two months after signing the promise of purchase, I had no choice but to nullify the promise of purchase. I want to make it clear that I was upset not because she didn't resolve whatever issue she faced, but because she did not provide a timely cooperation to make the transaction go smoothly. Honestly, it was very stressful to continuously wait and wait over time for her responses. My broker and I wasted two months of time and efforts, trying to make the transaction go smoothly. I decided to search for other properties, hoping that I do not experience this kind of events any more.
