I too would give this business a no star rating if I could. Went to get a key made for a tool box that goes in a truck, the fellow working today told me that he did not have a key blank or a key code to make the key, would however try to get a key blank in, the charge was going to be $125.00 dollars. Seemed really expensive to me... Went to another locksmith who had a key blank, and the key code was right on the lock... if the other locksmith would have had to file a key, the charge was going to be 80.00 dollars. I paid 25.00 for the initial key cut and 6.00 dollars for an extra key. BUYER BEWARE WITH THIS PLACE!!! I would say inexperienced staff, and a rip off with pricing.

Went in to get some keys cut for my tool boxes. I had went to four other places before hand including a lock smith shop and the keys they gave me did not work. Christina at Lock Surgeon had the keys cut and tested within 10 minutes. Also recommended a can of special lock lubricant to keep the locks working smooth! Very good service

I needed two regular house keys cut, price came to $16.70 with tax. I went asking how much and after the guy told me, I asked if he was joking. I asked how they could charge so much, the response was the boss sets the prices. I asked if they were competitive and if they knew how much Home Depot charges, to which the response was I don't know what they charge but your welcome to go there. I didn't want to waste any more time but based on the fact they are so out to lunch on the price for something so simple, I won't be going here for future business.

Locked an office door, requested a service tech to come by to unlock it. was here in average time, took less than 5 minutes to unlock, bill emailed almost immediately, $195 onsite basic 1 her charge PLUS $149.00 travel time and $24.08 shop supplies. Total cost for less than 5 minutes "work" $386.48. Will never use these guys again, especially when i get it is what it is attitude. They are just up the block from us, have dropped off numerous promotional things, all will be headed to the trash, don't want my staff using these crooks. And i can't even leave no stars

Absolutely terrible customer service!! I was in the store today (I was the only customer in the store) to make a purchase and was not even acknowledged by the staff for over 10min. There were at least 4 employees 2 of which walked by from the key cutting area to the back room without any acknowledgement as well as one that was on the phone who finished his call and decided to make another leaving me again without service. I decided at that point to take my business elsewhere which is what I recommend to anyone who was thinking of patronizing this establishment.

I called Lock Surgeon to have a set of keys made for a piece of equipment I recently purchased. I was told on the phone that a call out was going to cost $149 + parts and materials. I agreed. The service Technician "David" came out and I explained what I needed done. He told me that my locks weren't very common and that he may or may not be able to make the keys. I told him that was fine. He definitely made his best effort. After having to go back to the "Shop" twice, to find a different key the first time, and the second to get another key after he broke the first one trying to get one of the locks to work to key both locks. He was able to get one of the 2 locks working. The suprise came to the end of the service call when he gave me a bill for over $600 dollars! The bill was for the initial $149, plus $37.73 parts and labour, but then for 2 hours @$195/hour. Not once when I called dispatch, or even when the technician was onsite did anyone tell me that I would be paying a Ludacris amount of money for time, in top of the service fee.

My daughter locked her keys in her car. Her car was in the parking lot where Lock Surgeon is and there was a service van on site. It took 5 minutes of their time and she was charged $160! For 5 minutes. Totally took advantage of the situation and didn’t tell her the cost before they did it. I called in a complaint and was told they only charged half the service fee. Well the van was already there and never left the site so what’s the charge for? I’m all about paying for services rendered but this is ridiculous. And zero attempt to help me out, they clearly don’t care. My daughter was there at my place of business to deliver some holiday cheer to our customers. Where’s your Christmas spirit Lock Surgeon? We would never treat our clients this way. This is not a way to get referrals which is the best source for new clients.

WAY OVERPRICED-WARNING!!! They charge $89 just to arrive at your door and then charge another $189/hour...so basically it's $300 just to show up and do any kind of work-even if they are there for 20 minutes!! Then I had to wait another 40 minutes because his tablet wasn't working just to be able to pay! Would never use these guys again. (When I called to let them know, it sounds like she gets complaints all the time...they are so used to it they really don't care)
